"Family and I decided we would pick hotel with air conditioning next time instead of pool. Pool was so crowded they could not really go in and then it was closed middle of the day on Sunday for cleaning- which seems like a weird time to close a pool.Front desk was polite enough but did not seem very welcoming- no smiles and people weren't lined up behind us or anything. Best thing about this hotel was location.Housekeeper, Maintenance man and hostess at restaurant all really nice. Rooms were dark - beds comfortable"

"This place was absolutely perfect for us. Great size, comfortable beds, nice hot shower, close to town. Able to get to our early am charter boat in minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great price to boot! Will definitely be staying here anytime I am going to Westport!"

"The fenced back yard for our dogs was awesome. The birds that were seen from the deck facing the ocean were numerous and diverse.. Hummingbirds, doves, crows, hawks and even a few bat sightings at dusk. The birdsongs in the morning were especially nice. Kitchen was well stocked and we used it all weekend. The host was very available and responded quickly to my inquiries. It was a little far to walk to the beach. There is beach access by car very close, but you better have 4 wheel drive to drive on the beach. We didn't make it through the soft sand and got stuck. Luckily 3 different people stopped to help and one man even was able to tow us back to the gravel drive where it was packed and safe. But many other drivers with 4 wheel drive easily made it to the wet sand area of the beach. The house was very quiet on a private drive. We even saw a deer with her fawn one morning on our way out to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure in the showers was excellent. Overall an excellent stay. It helps that my granddaughter was part of my stay. That made it perfect."
