Cleanliness - upon arrival the room had a musty smell. Apparently they turn off the A/C when not occupied. Tile floors hadn't been deep cleaned in years - tile crevices and grout filthy. Kitchenette - no cookware, flatware, or plates. Sign indicated call front desk for plates (cardboard) and flatware (wood). Microwave plate did not turn. - Bedroom had one small lamp for light (see pic) - we couldn't see clothes in closet to pick out at night. Only had one small 3 drawer dresser for folded clothing. Living room - only one end table with a lamp between sofa and chair. The desk lamp had an intermittent power cord causing light to be sensitive to motion, and devices plugged in not to charge overnight (we found out the next morning). Breakfast - no decaf coffee. Even though we went early (just after opening) some items were cold, others like the sausages were overheated (microwaved?) and thus tough. Temperature - thermostat adjustment did not work. You had a choice of freezing or turning A/C off - Arghh! This facility seems to be attempting to extract as much money as possible before collapsing. It is well overdue for a refresh and deep cleaning.

Myself and my two daughters absolutely loved everything about this hotel! From the lovely clean scent of the hotel, to the lobby decor, to the exceptionally pleasant staff, quiet clean rooms, gorgeous grounds and pool area, and delicious food and drinks, we left this place in awe. There was honestly nothing negative I could say. It was our first time visiting but certainly won’t be our last! Well done Hotel Bonaventure!
