Nice cottage in a beautiful secluded location

Our stay at The Cottage was absolutely wonderful! We loved the peaceful surroundings and the relaxing atmosphere. The location was excellent, within 10-15 minutes drive to all the amazing hiking trails, caves, and attractions in Hocking Hills. It was the perfect getaway to unwind and enjoy nature. Except for non availability of dishwasher and washer/dryer everything else was fine.

This was the perfect weekend getaway, for 1 person, or 2.

There was plenty of space, and plenty of options without having to spend any money- build a fire, hike a trail, hot tub, sit by a babbling brook, watch a movie, be in nature. I was originally going to stay with my significant other, but when they couldn't come, I took the time for just me, and it was amazing.

The Cottage was quiet and cozy, tidy and fully equipped for a weekend away from home, including a private hot tub. Two full baths and a second bed in the loft created plenty of space. Our dog especially enjoyed the property hiking trail and the creek onsite. The hosts were helpful when called- immediately answered questions. Plan for 15min drive to local spots. Our child wrote "beautiful views" in the cabin guest book 3

This cabin was very dirty. Ceiling fans and exhaust fans full of dust. Base boards and corners were dirty. Holes in the carpet. The plaster on the ceiling was coming down. The outside doesn't look anything like the picture. Flower beds are all over grown. There were piles of leaves by the hot tub. I spent 744 to stay there for a weekend. With people paying that much, this property should be a lot nicer. It needs a serious over haul. I took lots of pictures to prove everything I'm saying.

Tucked away yet easy access to Hocking Hills (caves). Two ways to enter the property. House was clean and ready for guests. Beautiful area, sit outside and enjoy the sounds of nature, or soak in the hot tub that was ready to roll when we arrived. There was also a golf arcade machine upstairs, don't recall seeing it in the amenities but even as a non golfer I gave it a shot LOL. Rest of the family stayed at a nearby campground so we only had to drive 6 miles to sit with them. Any questions I posed were answered quickly and as a first time house rental it was a positive experience because of the patience they had will all of my questions, highly recommend.
