A taste of Rural France

The accommodation was exactly as stated - very rural which is what we were after. Ideal for two families with the farmhouse and gite being seperate. It was well equipped with all the amenities you would expect along with the addition of a games room and pool which were a hit with the children.

A wonderful stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse and gite. The house is perfect for families. Our children aged between 8-14 made use of the pool and the games room while the adults were able to relax in a peaceful space with all we needed at our disposal. The local supermarket (15 mins drive) kept us stocked up and we spent our days enjoying the lake, canals and beautiful beaches that are all within an hour’s drive. Rachel was always on hand to respond to any enquiries and also provided a comprehensive guide to help us make the most of the local area. We would definitely recommend this accommodation for a trip to France. Many thanks!

Excellent for extended families

A lovely rural location with a large garden. So quiet and no light pollution at all ! The grandchildren loved the pool and spent most of the week in it. The house and cottage are both well equipped with plenty of showers and baths. There are good markets and some lovely lakes in the area but all do require a drive to get to them. Sadly the boulangerie in the village is closed so we had frequent trips in the car to the ( excellent )supermarket in St. Nicolas .

Great for large groups

We visited as 4 families with children staying in the farmhouse and gite. This was a great place for the kids to play outside and they loved the pool. It’s a typically quiet rural French setting which suited us perfectly and was great for socialising at the property. Owners were really useful in providing info and always quick with any correspondence. Overall a great place to stay.

Très bel endroit pour les reunions de famille

Nous avons loué la maison et le gite pour un séjour de presque une semaine où nous nous sommes réunis en famille. l'endroit était propice aux bons moments. Cela avec du beau temps ou non. C'est agréable d'avoir la confiance des propriétaires et d'être libre d'arriver et partir sans "contrôle" que tout soit inclus dans le prix (électricité et eau). Cela évite un stresse inutile. Nous avons voulu resté une nuit de plus et l’hôte n'a pas mis longtemps à répondre favorablement.

We really enjoyed a week in the Farmhouse. Located in the peaceful French countryside, very relaxing

We had a lovely stay in the Farmhouse. 3 families in all, 2 in the Farmhouse, 1 in the gite. Both houses were well equipped and comfortable. The games room was a big hit with the kids and we all enjoyed the outside spaces and pool. The pool is deep enough for adults to enjoy so pack the armbands for the little ones if they need them! There's lots to do in the area and a trip to the nearby Lac du Guerlèdan is a really enjoyable day out. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Very good

We loved the house and thoroughly appreciated the warm welcome from Rachel. Directions were clear too. Lots of space for our party of ten and it was well appointed too. As we were lucky enough to be there in the middle of a heat wave we made excellent use of the pool too. Our one issue was with lack of outdoor furniture. We ate all our meals out-of-doors so we were constantly moving chairs in and out of the house and trying to crowd around the small table. The somewhat aging bench and wooden table did not appeal as we are all of mature years. A few extra loungers would have been useful too. Given that this issue is addressed we would undoubtedly give this venue a five star rating.
