Lovely place to stay and relax, great pool and sauna facilities. Nice restaurant and bar and easy parking. Nothing else around except a separate Italian restaurant which was basic but served fab food at good prices - a nice alternative to the hotel’s own restaurant. Safe and easy parking.

Wir haben unseren 10. Hochzeitstag im Marienhöh verbracht und für uns war es leider eine Fehlbuchung. Der Name „Spa und Hideaway“ ist irreführend und sollte in „Hotel für die ganze Familie“ umbenannt werden, da der „Spa-Bereich“, insbesondere der Pool, von zahlreichen Kleinkindern besiedelt war. Nicht falsch verstehen, wir lieben Kinder und haben selbst welche, aber dieses Wochenende wollten wir mal in Ruhe verbringen und einfach nur entspannen. Wenn dann aber 6 Kinder im Pool Arschbomben machen und mit Schwimmreifen paddeln, hat das weniger etwas von Spa, sondern eher was von Spaßbad. Der Gipfel war dann der Ausruf eines Jungen: „Papa, die *** hat gekackt!“ (Im Pool!) Naja, wir haben uns dann wenigstens auf ein tolles Abendessen im wunderschönen Hof gefreut, wo wir eine Woche vorher schon eine Tisch reserviert haben. Nachmittags haben wir an der Rezeption extra nochmal nachfragt, ob wir einen Tisch im Hof haben können und man bestätigte uns die Reservierung für 20 Uhr. Um 20.06 Uhr waren wir unten im Restaurant, wo man uns mitteilte, dass leider kein Tisch im Hof mehr frei wäre. Wir haben uns darüber sehr geärgert. Und dann ging es auch so weiter.. Man sagte uns nicht, dass es ein Menü gibt. Erst auf die Nachfrage, ob wir uns am Salatbuffet bedienen dürften, was zahlreiche Gäste taten, erfuhren wir, dass es Bestandteil des Menüs sei (Aha, welches Menü?), welches wir uns zum Hochzeitstag auch vielleicht gerne gegönnt hätten. Wir hatten aber schon bestellt.. Alles sehr schade.

Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren sehr lecker.Nett war der gratis Kuchen am Nachmittag.Der Pool war angenehm temperiert, aber leider gab es zu wenig Liegen zum Relaxen. Rund um das Hotel kann man sehr schön wandern.Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind hervorragend.

Het hotel in een voormalig klooster ziet er mooi uit. De locatie is geweldig en biedt goede mogelijkheden voor het starten van een wandeling in het ruime bosrijke gebied. De Spa en het zwembad zijn prima. Zowel binnen als buiten staan voldoende ligbedjes en buiten staan ook parasols. De haard bij het zwembad is uniek en sferisch. De kamer in het bijgebouw was prima en groot genoeg. De auto konden we bij dit gebouw parkeren. Het personeel was over het algemeen vriendelijk maar er waren meerdere jongeren die nog wel wat moesten leren en ook uitstraalden dat ze er niet zo veel zin in hadden. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en er was ruim voldoende keus. We hebben hier 1x gedineerd. Dit was in orde maar de kwaliteit-prijsverhouding was niet juist. We hebben de rest van de week elders prima gegeten voor minder dan de helft van de prijs in het hotel. In de bar van het hotel was het vrijwel nooit druk. Wij waren met ons vieren vaak het enige bezoek. De mogelijkheden van het gebied zijn vrij beperkt. Als je iets anders wilt dan wandelen, fietsen of zwembad / spa is een auto noodzakelijk.

Der Service war teilweise grottenschlecht. Es war an 2 Tagen in Folge nicht möglich, ein Stück Kuchen und eine Tasse Kaffee gleichzeitig zu servieren. Es lagen zwischen Kuchen und Kaffee etwa 10 Minuten. Die Coktails an der Bar waren grottenschlecht. Die Bardame war ständig nach den Zutaten am suchen und füllte im abendlichen Betrieb die Bar auf. Wenn die Bar um 20.00 Uhr öffnet, sollte man darauf vorbereitet sein und die Bar im Vorfeld auffüllen. So entstanden ewige Wartezeiten zwischen 2 gleichzeitig bestellten Coktails. Hatte ich erwähnt, dass die Coktails grauenhaft schmeckten?! Beim Frühstück war das Personal völlig betriebsblind. Die leeren Teller stapelten sich schon auf unserem Tisch. Abräumen Fehlanzeige.

Wundervolle Lage direkt am Wald mit Zugang zu verschiedenen Wanderungen. Der Pool war super und der Spa Bereich ist auch schön, vor allem mit dem Außenbereich. Unser Zimmer hatte einen schönen Blick Richtung Steinbachtalsperre und war sehr ruhig. Das Personal war super freundlich und hat sich immer gut gekümmert. Insgesamt genau das was wir gesucht haben: viele Möglichkeiten Sport in der Natur zu machen, Wellness, Entspannung und Erholung und natürlich gutes Essen! Wir kommen gerne wieder! Wenn ich mir was wünschen dürfte, wären das Duschen bei der Sauna im Freien inkl. einem Tauchfass 😊

Wunderschönes ruhiges Hotel zum abschalten. Wellnessbereich klein, aber alles da zum vollständigen entspannen. Zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal und auch das Restaurant lässt keine Wünsche offen. Lediglich kleine Abzüge, da für den aufgerufenen Preis die Zimmer etwas „abgewohnt“ waren. (Kratzer und Flecken von Koffern an Wänden)

Klosterhotel i skovens stille ro

Hotel 25 min fra Bernkastel. Store lyse værelser. Fint badeværelse og lille balkon. Spa afdeling er meget fin med stor pool og flere forskellige saunaer. Virkelig fin morgenmad med godt udvalg og hyggelig terasse/gårdmiljø. Dejligt hotel.
