The Watermelon Sugar House, Joshua Tree

Situated on 2.5 acres, Watermelon Sugar JT is the ultimate getaway. The patio is filled with vibrant colors, fire pit, hot tub, outdoor seating and dining areas, and 1 of 3 of our exclusive Stargazing Cabana Beds.

The start of the backyard leads you to our 2 other Stargazing Cabana Beds and Pool, perfect for taking in the night sky and cooling off.

Finally, take in the sunset while lounging on our 6-person Hammock Star and float away under the desert sky.

Every area has been carefully designed with you in mind, and we know our pictures look delicious, but once you get here, you'll be even more delighted. 2 night min on weekends and holidays.

Watermelon Sugar JT has 2 bedrooms:

Hot tub for the Win.

Stayed at this location off a dirt path road but was amazing overall. Arrived shortly at 9pm and just right into the hot tub. Spent our time in Joshua tree, 29 palms and yucca valley all which have many things to offer. Streets are very dark at night so beware of that when driving but location was amazing. Loved the decor and would recommend to everyone to stay there.

Desert oasis

Such a beautifully decorated and well thought out home. Jannis, please design my home!! The theme is well thought out all the way down to the matching on theme water purifier and the cosmic colored utensils. The hot tub was a nice end to our day and loved laying in the hammocks. Communication with Jannis was 5 star, the most helpful and welcoming host I’ve come across on this site. A few reviews mentioned the neighbors so I wasn’t sure what we were getting ourselves into but truly, the neighbors are benign and keep to themselves. We would rent this home again in a heartbeat. Check out process was easy, running the dishwasher and taking the trash out is the least we can do after a beautiful stay in a beautiful home

A delightful stay in the Watermelon Sugar house. It was clean. The aesthetic is so stylish and charming. The linens were soft. The land is impeccable. It was easy to get to and while there are amenities in the near by town, you are still able to feel privacy and the wildness of the desert. I just adored our hosts, so helpful. So kind. The starlight at night is not to be missed.

We had a lovely stay at the property! It was cozy and clean and exactly as described. Be aware there is an additional fee per night for the hot tub to be warmed for your stay and the pool is not available in the colder months of the year (which our hosts did disclose immediately after booking). Jennis was lovely and was prompt with any response we needed. They were also generous enough to offer for us to extend our stay at a discount (which we unfortunately had to decline, but would have stayed longer if we could have!) Overall, the experience was exactly what we hoped for in getting out of the city and underneath a sky full of stars (of which there are many places on the property to view them from!) Would absolutely stay again!
