「DO NOT BOOK THIS Hotel. This hotel has been taken over by the Ethiopian General for his military in the ongoing conflict. We were not made aware of this by Expedia or the hotel before reaching Lalibela and were shuttled to a third grade accommodation. Completely different from what I booked. This is terrible oversight from Expedia’s part sadly. If you book Lalibela Lodge, you WILL BE sent elsewhere when you arrive. Just know that.」

EXPEDIA PLEASE REIMBURSE MY MONEY !!! do not book or you may loose all your money. they email you days later and its false. but Lalibela is beautiful. just we lost hundreds of dollars. town is infested with fraud.... lok for mole. best tour guide in Lalibela and honest loving young man. he great thanks 」

「There is no place or accommodation in the town bearing this name. The person behind this is running a scam. We were stranded with no where to go and in the end we ended up staying in another hotel paying the maximum dollar. It is unfortunate Expedia is allowing this to happen.」
