This is a very beautiful property and the instructions to the property were very easy to follow. It is worth the drive and the quiet area is very welcoming
Quiet, clean and secluded- this property makes for a peaceful getaway. The accommodations are simple but offer all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The balcony seating and lake view is a special treat for those looking to lounge in a natural setting.
Would recommend.
Our stay was great. Went for my partner's birthday weekend and took our medium sized dog. Weather was awesome and we really enjoyed the views from the cabin, upper decks, and down on the dock. Fishing and kayaking was fun. There are a few motor boats and jetski/wave runners about here and there but overall its very quiet and calm. The road access is a little more remote and adventurous than we expected so we were glad we we brought all our food and beverages with us so we could just relax and didn't go into town once. Other than food, the kicthen and cabin had all the equipment and basic supplies we needed. There are a lot of steep steps down to the dock which could be challenging if you aren't in decent shape. We loved it and would definitely come back.

The good, the bad and the ugly
We came to celebrate my 77th birthday and to fish. I bought a license for this trip, as I was in between chemo treatments. If we had known the dock was many flights of steep stairs away, we would never have booked. We made 2 trips down, our dog slipped on the stairs and hurt her leg so we skipped the fishing afterwards. Perhaps it would be less deceptive to post pictures of the steep steps instead of 8 pictures of fake plants, books, toiletries, the Dutch oven and the hair dryer.
Single ply toilet tissue in a narrow bathroom. One hand towel.
The King bed was fairly comfortable, pillows not so much, hot water with good pressure, careful not to scald yourself! Quiet setting, clean.

Nice place
The cabin is wonderful. The owners obviously take very good care of it. Our particular problems were all our own fault and I believe that someone who knows exactly what they are getting into would have a great time. The cabin is basically on the side of a hill leading down to the lake. You have to walk down steep stairs to get to the lake. (I thought we'd just walk out the door and it would be there). I have bad knees so I could not go to the lake. I spent the whole time in the cabin. My husband is in good shape and going up the stairs really wore him out. The fish WERE NOT biting - at all. He did like the kayak. The house was always in the shade, so we had the heater on though it was summer. I actually enjoyed my time there somewhat, having some peace and quiet, but there wasn't a lot to do. The absolute worst part was the parking situation. You cannot turn around. It's also pretty spooky backing up a windy one lane dirt road on the side of a mountain. Take a small car. The cabin was at the end. They mentioned this in the ad, but it did not prepare us for what a challenge this would be. When my husband backed into the neighbor's driveway to do a Y the neighbor ran out yelling at us. After that we decided not to leave the property again. It was so much trouble getting out, we went home early because we felt stuck. This was a nice cabin. The owners were terrific. If I were them, I would sell this place and buy one with easier access to the lake and the road.
Loved our time here! House was cute with thoughtful touches. Small but very cozy. Smoke alarm goes off with oven cooking so might try to avoid that next time. Would highly recommend and stay again. Host is not lying, stairs are steep.
Clean throughout. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels. Very comfy bed. Other than a couple of small boats on the lake it was absolutely quiet. Driving to get there is a bit of an adventure; would recommend you get there before it gets dark. We would stay here again.
This is a beautiful and thoughtfully cared for cabin with a stellar view and great dirt roads for walking. The drive to the cabin is significant in the windy forested dirt roads that would be treacherous in a rainstorm and that provide a sense of getting away from obligations elsewhere. It would be best to come in daylight to get oriented. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Overall the stay was great. It was very quiet, which was the main thing my wife was looking for. The place was incredibly clean, and rustic and warm, even in the middle of winter and with it raining most of our stay. The only complaint would be that the shower has next to no water pressure. If they fixed this one issue, the place would be a true paradise. Even without it, though, it's still pretty close.
Innacurate Listing - hidden fees - Do not stay here
I've never had a problem with a VRBO or other vacation rental before. I booked because it said dog friendly, no pet fees, and looked like a great place. After they took my unrefundable booking money I got a text informing me I would have to pay hundreds on dollars in pet fees. When I pressed about listing information the owner just told me to cancel, but because the booking was unrefundable I had to spend days trying to get my money back from VRBO.
We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was exactly what we hoped for! The cabin was clean and lovely and everything you could need is right at your fingertips. Very well cared for and thoughtfully decorated and stocked. Quiet, restful, secluded and gorgeous views! Thank you!!!!
Solid clean comfortable cabin. Beautiful lake, owners should open up views a bit, won’t be easy access to the dock is a climb that I throughly enjoyed. Quiet and just right.
It is a little oasis! We loved our stay. It had everything we needed. We are on a trip camping along the Oregon coast and it was a perfect stop to clean off from the sand. The place is so clean, perfectly decorated, and quiet. We plan to come back many more times!
This cabin was super cozy, nice bed, great deck, but not for anyone with knee issues. Upper decks are amazing but the access to the water is a super steep stair system that wasn't for us. Kayak would be good if you were in for an adventure, as the speed boats towing skiers would swamp you or at least soak you! Looks super fun when it's hot, but it wasn't hot when we were there. Also no shore access so not good for pet water play. A nice cabin though, very peaceful.
So sweet & private! We loved the thoughtful decor & had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We hope to rent again for our first anniversary!
Everything was as pictured. Beautiful view and dock straight to the lake. The cabin is perfect for a couple or a single. Very quiet and clean. Highly recommend
