  • Our grandfather used to say "the sun always shines on Filucy Bay." Even though this time capsule cabin is located in the sometimes rainy Pacific Northwest, every day is a chance to seek at least a little bit of sunshine peaking through.

    2 bedroom/ 1 bath cabin overlooking Filucy Bay near the town of Longbranch, Washington. Enjoy all the comforts of home but in a remote and quiet location. Perfect for the guests who are looking for a peaceful retreat from the city. (At least one published book and one produced film have been written at this serene setting.). The cabin was built circa 1968 and retains many of its original features.

    West facing for perfect sunset watching while you sip wine or read a good book.

    Walk on the beach and collect shells from Puget Sound.

    It is not unusual for the local seals to flop their way onto our floating dock for overnight sleeping.

    A lovely area for long walks on quiet roads. Joemma State Park is 10 minutes away by car.

This property is really special. It's clean and spacious & stocked with everything you need. Very comfy & cozy, feels like you're staying at a friend's place. We loved sitting on one of the many back decks with a glass of wine, watching the seals & the sunsets. Each morning we took long walks, picking & eating blackberries along the way, kayaking in the afternoons.

This was such the perfect place to get away from it all. Where serenity soothes the soul. Where sunrises and sunsets paint pastels against the calm of Filucy Bay and one can just be and allow nature to nourish the mind, body, and spirit!Thank you for sharing of this paradise!

This cabin is the perfect place to get away from it all (although you can stay connected with the wifi if needed)! From multiple decks that over look the bay where you can enjoy watching seals swim in front of you, to the hummingbirds that welcomed us. The kitchen has everything you need to keep you happy and the beds were extremely clean and comfortable. Make it a point to see both the high and low tide magic that makes a beach appear in front of your eyes so that you can comb for shells and then watch as nature makes it disappear and the water would allow you to take a few steps on the lower deck right into it and onto the supplied kayaks. The location is close to amenities if you need to but any but far enough away that you forget you are less than an hour from Tacoma. Restful sleeps, morning coffees watching seals, fresh air and glass like water were part of the things that made the stay enjoyable.
