It met our needs.

Although the room decor was outdated it was certainly sufficient. There was only one chair in the room so we bought another one from Walmart. The location is right beside Sizzling Grill and that was perfect. Sizzling Grill has good food and a great happy hour. We were missed for maid service one day but the owner supplied us with towels. It was fine for our needs.

Clean room.

It was a bed for a night. Walls are thin and unfortunately person in room started day about 3am and we could hear him. Most important to us was that it was clean.

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time. The room was very clean. Plenty of hot water. Mini fridge and microwave worked great. Check in was very smooth.

It was a perfect location to get to our event at Bok Tower, with the Uber Driver taking and picking up. We were very happy with the property for the age of the place it was kept up very nicely.

Needs updating

I was disappointed in what I got for the amount of money I paid. The owner was nice but the place needs to be updated, and there was a live German cockroach in the bathroom the first morning I woke up. That almost ruined my day. The refrigerator did not work I had to put food in freezer which was barely even cold enough. I spent $221 for two nights and I feel like it really wasn’t worth that at all. Second morning I barely had enough towels. I will not stay here again, like I said the owner was nice but that doesn’t make up for how much I paid for something that was that out of date. It wasn’t even in a resort area so I don’t feel like the price is justified

Great people, good location.

Great staff and good location for just about anything in Lake Wales. The room was as clean as an older room could be cleaned. A couple of roaches were the only spoilers. Florida on a rainy night not much you can do about those.

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. WILL REVISIT. ONE COMPLAINT- THE TV & TV REMOTE WERE HARD TO USE. VERY PRE-DINOSAUR. THAT SHOULD BE UPDATED. OTHERWISE EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.

Nice, clean rooms with enough in-room amenities to make you feel comfortable. Bathrooms may need an update but talk about how water and water pressure - WOW! All staff was friendly especially RAJ, manager. Raj helped us through issues with Expedia when we canceled our last night in more than enough time not to be charged, per their guidelines. Expedia employee "Harry" lied to both Raj and myself about canceling, never sent the modification files to Raj, compelling us both to call Expedia and talk to a supervisor - not once but twice - the first time conveniently being cut off. Would we stay at The Green Gables again? YES! Would we use Expedia in the future? Probably not. Rarely have I had such horrible customer service as this experience with Expedia. But RAJ....YOU ARE THE MAN! Thanks for all your help.

This hotel is old,, and the property is run down. My room smelled like mothballs, and the furniture was a hodgepodge collection that looked like it came from a 1960’s garage sale. Don’t get me started on the bathroom...tile tile was was broken, the ceiling plaster was cracked and dirty, and plain disgusting. How this hotel rates a 3.5 star rating is beyond me. Don’t bring your children to this disaster. I arrived close to midnight and was too tired to search for another option. Highly recommend passing this nasty place by!!!

Short walk to good restaurant on the property. Raj is very very friendly and accommodating.

There are cockroaches in the room and at times in the bath tub. The air conditioner was very loud.
