The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We arrived a little earlier than check in, but they found us a room near some friends who were also staying. The rooms were clean, quiet, and had the amenities we needed. The hotel provided ingredients to make s’mores and have a great beer, wine, and coffee bar.
My wife and I have stayed at The Coachman a few times now. It's always our primary choice while in Tahoe and allows us to bring our 2 dogs, due to being very dog friendly. We had another amazing experience and will continue to choose The Coachman in the future!
Great stay close to everything in SLT. Loved the free coffee and smores. Parking was perfect. Stayed with a pup and it was the perfect accommodation. Would stay again.
The food was delicious. I felt the value of the food for the cost was very good. Me and my spouse had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The quantity of food was very satisfying. We had iced lattes in the afternoon that were great. We stayed with our dog and the area was easy to walk him. Although we had to be mindful of a bear that we spotted several times in the area. The property was well maintained and had a really cool layout. I would stay here again.
Great property to stay. Close to Lakeside beach and the hotel also provides you with the free entry passes. Also close to heavenly village and gandola. Park you car at the property and take a e-bike to go around . They also have a in-house cafe.

Friendly staff, great amenities, perfect home base for our Tahoe adventures.
I loved our stay here. The staff was so friendly and helpful giving us great tips for our stay. This hotel had the best amenities out of all the places I’ve stayed before they have so many fun things going on every day, but my favorite was the s’mores every night. It was also fun to ride a scooter to heavenly Village right down the street every day. The hotel definitely made it a memorable trip. I was also surprised when I got there to find out that we get free private beach access that comes with staying in the property, we would go every night to watch the sunset. I’m definitely staying here. Next time I come as it was affordable and a great place to stay!
The property was very cute…had a super fun vibe. The room was clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to the 2 room suite with bunk beds…the bottom bunk is very low…but worked fine for us.
Picked this property for its proximity to concert venue and lake, and because it had a pool/spa. Room was okay, a bit cramped for 4 of us so would consider other room options next time. Staff were friendly and attentive. Appreciated the complimentary beach passes, parking, and other amenities.
Nice property, great outdoor amenities (pool, fire pits, etc). I expected a few more amenities in the room (iron, ironing board), and the towels were not great quality.
We liked the common areas, especially the nightly s’mores and bocce ball. The pool was a little cooler than expected, but enjoyed the loungers. Staff was friendly and easily accessible. Room was basic, but beds were comfy. Great location! Access to private beach huge plus!
Great spot to stay in South Lake Tahoe.
The Coachman we located near everything down there. Steps away from the beach and Heavenly Village.

Liked: Staff & service
Old motel that has tried to be made boutique, but shows its age and upgrades are cheap. Paint peeling on walls. Lots of debri from trees in pool and hot tub. Not many bikes available. Enjoyed the morning coffee and large television. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Overpriced for an old motel.
Overall, we loved our stay. Room (Summit Suite) seemed a bit smaller than anticipated and balcony was tiny, overlooking parking area. Bed was comfortable. Room had cooler backpack and beach blanket! Coffee shop is great. Pool and hot tub nice. Best perk were the daily beach passes. Was 30$pp otherwise. We will definitely be back.
