This location was perfect for my wife and I. We have been to Lake Placid multiple times and this location was right in the middle of Main Street, where all the activity is. Our room overlooked main street, the room clean and had a full set of amenities. The only downside but was very minimal, that to reach our room was 21 steps, LOL. Great place and will be staying there again, on our next trip to Lake Placid.

Planned our stay a couple days in advance and The Haus was good for what we needed. Conveniently located downtown and the parking was not too far away with easy access in and out. The unit was clean and it was nice having more of a suite feel than just a hotel room. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Wonderful place to stay. We went to Lake Placid for our honeymoon and the staff was very helpful and sweet. Plus, the views of Mirror Lake are fantastic.

It just felt like a hole in the wall apartment that was decently spacious with an incredible view and walking distance to most anything. Parking was not an issue or a big deal.

Highly recommend! We had our honeymoon here and it was a very beautiful historic building, very clean, and a very well-decorated room. Comfy beds, amazing jacuzzui, and spacious; true to the photos. Some issues: we did not realize it was two huge flights of stairs up to our room, so that was unexpectedly difficult with the luggage. We also had an issue with construction noise in the building next door, plus some confusion around where and how to park, but the hotel staff were quickly responsive and in the end, the hotel made it right, so were appreciative even though it was frustrating. Highly recommend a stay! Great access to local dining, shops and nightlife. We would definitely stay again if we return to Lake Placid.

I never elect to write these reviews, but room #4 lived up to and beyond the photos on line. Beautifully appointed room, and the back covered balcony overlooking Mirror Lake was fantastic. Not a traditional hotel, not sure what I was getting into, but will absolutely stay here again! Bravo! 👏

Excellent location and views, spacious and clean. The staff is offsite but texted daily for any needs. The lodging description detailed stairs but the stairs were a LOT and steep! Challenging with and without luggage. Comfty bed and nice linens but platform height. Suite 7 is best suited for couples with a bit more agility and stamina than us!

Amazing view of the mountains from several different windows. Stores, restaurants and Olympic Museum all easy to walk to. Easy check-in. Great instructions. Comfortable bed, well-stocked kitchen.

If you want to be in the center of it all great location. Our original unit faced the noisy street. We asked to move if a lake view with balcony became available and were accommodated. The balcony units with lake views are very nice. The entryway when you open the door to the building very is dirty and carpet is stained. The unit itself was clean. But the stairs to get up to the unit are ridiculously steep. You need to be able to carry your suitcase up them so not for everyone.

The Pros: Comfortable beds and living room seating, easy to use shower, kitchen with all the basic essentials, excellent location with easy access to multiple good restaurants and a park next door with a lake view The Cons: The stairs to the 3rd floor where most of the units are located are old and steep and have been covered with a vinyl material so that every step you take makes a terrible crunching noise. The carpeting at the entryway to the 3rd floor is filthy - although the carpeting in the rooms is clean. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are very loud - made it hard to sleep (there were earplugs in the bathroom but who wants to do that when you are “home”. ) Bottom line: We’d stay somewhere else next time.
