「The location is great. The facilities are old but in good condition. I stayed here for one night but I would like to stay longer. I will choose this place again next time.」

「The location was excellent, situated directly on Highway 60 with walking access to a grocery store and a bakery. The room was acceptable for an overnight stay; however, I was frustrated that the sliding bathroom door lacked a lock, which makes it difficult to maintain privacy when traveling with children. Overall, it was a good experience, and Dan is an incredible host!」

「Excellent property, excellent hosts!」

「I really enjoyed my getaway night here. The room was like a small apartment, very neat and clean; a few small details could be adjusted, but they were minor and I had great communication with the staff when I needed to find out how to work something. Comfy bed as well, and there’s a beautiful walk right next to the lake, which is only a few steps to get to. I would definitely come again.」

「Really great property, very clean and a beautiful spot right on lake of bays.」

This helped manage the cold for the remainder of the stay.」

But, the most upsetting was the Lack of Communication with the host and the agency, The Muskoka Waterfront Retreat. We wanted a 3 night reservation, but mistakenly entered 2. When we received confirmation, and realized our...

「Clean and exactly as advertised! Great stay」

「Good view, not far from Algonquin park.」

「We arrived at the cottage and there was a strange odour in the room. Then we noticed the furnishings were tattered and the cottage itself was poorly maintained. And though we paid we left after 10 minutes refusing to stay in this inferior cottage. We are now awaiting a refund.」

「The place is very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the stay. The only thing is that there's no privacy screen for the washroom window and the washroom is facing the road. Location is good, 30 mins from the Algonquin provincial park West gate and 20 mins from Huntsville. Overall a good experience staying here.」
