「Very nice stay! We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin with proximity to Lake Lure. The cabin was perfect for our 3 generations: main floor BR for 89-yr old, plus 32-yr old w/ 2 dogs, and 68-yr old middle. Varying needs and all met! One cautionary comment, and the reason for my one 4 star rating (accuracy of listing) - the fenced dog yard is secure and big, but it's very steep (not apparent in the pic), both the yard itself and the access steps. 「The cabin is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed the large jacuzzi in the bedroom. The cabin is very close to Hwy 64 which makes getting around easy but in exchange there is quite a bit of traffic noise. The traffic noise is the only thing that made me give the “location and neighborhood” 3 start. Also, the steps really need a handrail. 「The inside of the property was great. Was very disappointed that both decks and the front entryway had obviously not been cleaned for sometime. Cobwebs, dust, and leaves made all of these areas very unattractive. It’s logical to assume that spending time on your decks would be one of the reasons people would choose this condo, and they had not been cleaned for a long time.」

「Our stay was great! It was wonderful having access to all the amenities at rumbling bald. Sheila was an amazing communicator and her neighbors were so very helpful. Unfortunately, the air conditioning went down when we were there, but they were on top of it! It was Sunday of memorial day weekend and they found someone to come out and fix it right away. It didn’t disrupt our stay at all cause we were out and about enjoying the area. Thank you for your hospitality and I would recommend this place...

「We've been to Rumbling Bald before so no real 'surprises'. This trip we had a massage, played some tennis, rented a pontoon boat and played pool, at Legends. Cons: wifi is spotty everywhere, twisty/winding roads and limited food choices. The patio furniture was a little worn, there were a few crumbs on the floor upon arrival, and the bed was not comfortable (to us) Pros: Victory Cafe, The Lake House. 「Very clean, cute and cozy. Easy check-in and checkout. Easy to access any information needed. Mountain road getting to the cabin has multiple switch backs so take your time. Enjoyed having close access to the lake as well as the kayaks. Hot tub is lovely on the back deck. Only small annoyance was there was construction going on next door, some of the trucks going by sounded like tanks. Otherwise, wonderful place….would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.」
