  • Charming, cozy cabin with open floor plan in Riverbend sleeps 5-6 comfortably. Two private lakes, private beach and river access. Front and rear decks for enjoying the beautiful scenery, gathering with family and friends, or savoring a quiet moment on the front porch swing! Outdoor propane firepit and indoor fireplace for cool evenings. Take advantage of all that Lake Lure and nearby Rutherford County have to offer -- restaurants, fishing, swimming, hiking, ziplining and SO MUCH MORE!! PLEASE NOTE: As of Feb 2025, Lake Lure itself is closed to boating and swimming while it undergoes dredging post Hurricane Helene. Most Lake Lure restaurants and shops are open for business, however, and will appreciate your support!

Clean and comfortable cabin. Kitchen had everything we needed. The drive to the cabin was a little intimidating at first because of the winding, steep drive. That is also ,however, what added to the charm. Would love to visit again during the summer. Noreen was always quick to get right back to us if I had any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

AMAZING!! This our third trip to this cabin, but our first two week trip. To say it was relaxing and everything we hoped for would be an understatement! Noreen is an amazing host, provides more than you could even expect, and the cabin is simply amazing. We have always traveled with two adults, but if we needed to add more family, it would not be an issue. I cannot say more about this host or the cabin! We are looking forward to renting this cabin many more times in the future!

Perfect family vacation

We stayed here for a long weekend with our young girls and dog. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The short drive to the lake access in the neighborhood was our favorite aspect. The drive to Lake Lure Beach and Chimney Rock Village is short. The porch with bench swing was such a relaxing place to enjoy the quiet and nature. I wish we had stayed longer! Will definitely be back.

What a great place to stay. I've stayed in many vrbo's previously and this one was well thought out. They thought of everything you could possibly need. Everything was top notch. Quiet

You definitely feel like you are in the woods with the authentic log style, exterior and beautiful trees that surround the property. I saw a bear on the way into Lake lure the day I arrived. I also saw several beaver on the sides of the road, and crossing. Definitely a magical place I shall return.

Peaceful Oasis

We absolutely loved JR’s cabin. From the solitude of the surroundings to the amenities and comfort it was everything we hoped it would be. The owners were always readily available if needed. The cabin was spotlessly clean and supplied with just about everything. Our two small dogs loved the fenced and secure yard. Close to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock plus a grocery store nearby made it even more convenient. We will return for sure.

Jr Cabin

We stayed at JR Cabin for one week with our 2 small dogs. I chose this property primarily as it was dog friendly and fenced. We were impressed with how secure the fence was with great care taken that there were no areas that a dog could get through which provided great peace of mind. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and so well stocked with any kitchen gadget you’d need, a keurig with coffee pods available…much appreciated!, plentiful bath towels and even first aid kits, washer and dryer with detergent. We would definitely choose this property should we ever come back to the area!

Perfect Thanksgiving Cabin

Everything was just perfect!! A beautiful, cozy cabin with great rooms, quilts, fireplace, fire pit and great for a Gobble table and time and space for family games!! We would certainly stay here again!! Near to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock!! Thank Noreen and JR for your hospitality!! As a VRBO host myself, your place definitely deserves five stars in all areas! As for a few who whined in their comments about the gravel road to the cabin, what did you expect!!! You’re in the high foothills! We loved the ride up and down from the cabin! Thank you! The cabin was perfect. Comfy, clean and perfect for us and the dogs. Yard is fenced. Enjoy time at fire pit while they explored the yard. Fully stocked with linens, toiletries. Kitchen had all you needed, just bring food. Spices and all waiting for you. Great front and back porch views. Can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend JR’s Cabin.
