Blueridge Beauty

House is big and beautiful! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space but also that perfect kitchen area for everyone to hang out together. The loft was a nice movie spot, game room provided some intense ping pong tournaments, and the hot tub was relaxing. Rumbling Bald Resort has a lot to offer. Pontoon rental on Lake Lure was the best! Warm water and amazing views! We took advantage of the beach, paddleboard rentals and the outdoor pool. We hiked Chimney Rock and explored the stores in The Village. Highly recommend lunch at The River Watch! Watch out for the bears. We had a bear on the back deck on two separate occasions (forgot to put the grill cover back on) and saw one on the road as we drove down to the resort. A couple power outages and the winding back roads to get to the resort were also a challenge. Asheville was a nice day trip but I highly recommend a stop in the town of Black Mountain, NC! Overall...big and beautiful house and we had a great family vacation!

Great 4 day weekend stay in the mountains!

Very clean and well appointed house that is as beautiful in person as it is online. I've never seen a better collection of kitchenware and the amenities were a lot of fun at Rumbling Bald resort. Our teenage sons and two of their friends enjoyed the game room downstairs with the Xbox and ping pong.

Quick weekend away

This location was great for two family on a weekend away! Two great masters with en suites that opened to a kitchen with top of the line supplies, two adult living rooms, and ample outdoor space. The kids had a blast downstairs and had a lot of room to play and sleep. I would highly recommend this house for its set up, functionality, and finishes.

Great Retreat

My questions prior to arrival were promptly answered. My parents flew in and we drove out to the property with 4 tween girls who LOVED the recreation room (8 people total). I made a cheesecake and was shocked at how stocked the kitchen was. I had brought my own mixing bowls and crockpot, but didn’t need any mixing bowls. They had every size of pot or pan you could want! We ate in for every meal and the kitchen was fantastic. Other favorites were the ping pong tournament that ensued. We also had a fire pit with s’mores. Such a great retreat.

Nice getaway.

House was great. Neighborhood is tricky to navigate, so be sure to print map since cell service is spotty. Only small issue is the game room had no ping pong balls or darts. Kids were a little disappointed. Had to buy them from wal mart, which is not close. Restaurant on golf course was great!

Overall excellent place to stay but a few improvements are needed

Overall, we really enjoyed staying here for our daughter's wedding. The place was nice and roomy and was very comfortable. A couple of suggestions: fix the potholes just before the driveway, stock the kitchen with more things like coffee mugs, tupperware, and other supplies (Reynolds Wrap). None of the nedrooms have TVs so maybe that can be added too. Also, the wrong code was sent to us but with one phone call you got it fixed. Again, overall it was very good.

Beautiful location

Perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Home was spacious with great outdoor space. Easy access to pool, lake, etc. Less than hour drive to Chimney Rock, rafting, hiking. House was clean and well stocked. Great game room. Shared with two families and everyone had space.

Nice Getaway House

We stayed here over spring break with family friends and had a nice time at Rumbling Bald Resort. The house is spacious and exactly as pictured. Nice location and decor. We loved the giant island in the kitchen, and the fire pit outside is great. The kids all loved the game room and us parents loved that it was downstairs and we could close the door on the stairs and have some quiet upstairs. :) A few things: more towels and trash bags would be nice. One of the faucets in the King master bathroom doesn't work at all. The outdoor swing needs WD-40 b/c it squeaks so loudly we couldn't use it in peace. The main couch is also super loud and squeaky when you sit on it. So mostly just some small maintenance issues which would be easy fixes. As another reviewer mentioned, the ensuite bathrooms in both main upstair bedrooms have no doors so you have to lock your room in order to use the bathroom and steam from the shower makes the whole bedroom humid and sticky for a bit. The downstairs bunk beds are not in a room but sort of in a small space at the end of the hallway. Not a huge deal since it's most likely kids who won't care about that, but thought some people might like to know. We had a fun time there and would stay at this home again.

Such Fun!!

The property worked great for us. The kitchen was great for cooking and hanging out; the large island allowed for some to sit and relax while talking and laughing with the ones cooking. The many porches and the bedroom spaces allowed for you to get away from the group if you wanted to. The fire pit was easy to to use, and conveniently right off one of the porches. Our greatest enjoyment came from watching the 4 kids, dressed in their Halloween costumes, run around the house and in and out of all the many doors playing hide and seek. They all enjoyed the play room and watched some movies as well. We all had a great time.

Family getaway

We've been coming to Lake Lure for many years and this is our favorite house we've stayed in. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and there were a lot of great hang out areas. The Rec room and the fire pit were a nice added bonus!!

Great house, but toilets a bit too open for us!

We loved the openness of the house. High ceilings, lots of light. Loved all the porches. Fantastic rec room. Well-appointed kitchen and furnishings. Great outdoor spaces. The only problem was the toilets had no privacy. The large bathroom and bedroom had no wall between them. They could have easily added a door to close off the potty. We will not rent this house again because of the potty situation. Also, no gas for grill in gas tank
