The room was just the tight size for myself and very clean. They take very good care of the property. It’s far enough from the Village so noise won’t bother you, but not so far that you will have to travel far to get back . Overall a very nice place to stay!!

Super nice owners, showers aren’t for 6 foot people and the regulation of the water is not calibrated correctly it’s either too hot or too cold. I do see money being invested into the property they only had three years and remember Rome wasn’t built in a year. No microwaves in room but they do have a common area with a kitchen and a microwave and a ice machine.

Got the impression from owner this is a work in progress. Needs a lot of work. Bare bones. Nothing appealing. Minimalist furniture. Curtain on only one of two windows. No tissues. No washcloths. No hot water in bathroom sink. I would not even try the shower. Bathroom very small. No place to put anything. They did put the heat on but was so warm needed the air conditioning. Hopefully the improvements will be made.

Perfect distance from busy tourist main area and shopping. 2 min drive to the left gets you into the business and shopping areas. Lake access about 3 mins. Quiet and simple. No frills. Perfect for sleeping, keeping your stuff safe and a quick shower. If you are any taller than me(5'10) showering in the stall may be more difficult. Similar to RV sized bathroom. Very polite and helpful owner.

good communication, if I texted or called they replied quickly, clean rooms, good a/c and heating controlled within the room, if I asked for new towels got them same day, they gave suggestions about Lake George which was helpful, had a outdoor tables with umbrellas and had a common area to use a microwave, thank you Hillside for a good experience, Amanda was professional

Unfortunately, check in was only until 10:00 PM. We arrived at 10:10 PM. There was no cell phone service for miles and miles around. We couldn’t call the hotel to say that we couldn’t make it by 10. When we arrived, we tried to call the emergency number and got no answer. We ended up driving through the night to get home. So we never stayed there. I cannot comment on anything other than the fact we couldn’t even check in.

Spent 5 day at the hillside. Owners were very accommodating. Pool was very nice. The kids loved it. Great location. Room was clean and had your basic needs. Will be going again.

This place is very cute. The owner, Amanda 1, is very nice. The room was clean except for some papers from the last guest in the drawer. She provides you soap and towels and the pool is open until 10 (which wasn't late enough for us to enjoy). It is a motel so no frills and from talking to her you can tell she has worked really hard to make it a nice place. One perk is there is a trolley that stops across the street and for $1 a person runs the strip until 10pm.

The peace and quiet were lovely. It was just outside of the tourist area. The rocking chairs outside were a great addition. We really enjoyed them. However, we couldn't sleep in the bed very well. They were way too hard. They just had no give.

Great price and atmosphere!

Amanda and her staff were friendly and fantastic.We had a family suite and my son was excited to have his own room.We also enjoyed the pool.We will definitely be back .

Outdoor furniture by the pool side needs to be updated, chairs had many cracks and looked borderline unsafe. I also wish shower curtain would have been somewhat better looking. Apart from this, everything was pretty great for the price paid.

My only complaint was the shower. The water was either steaming hot or freezing cold and it would keep changing during the shower. It was awful.

Motel is really outdated and in very poor condition. Staff is very friendly but the rooms are not something people should be staying in. Bathrooms are very small and smell like pee and very musty. Beds look like something that belongs in a jail cell !!!! I am a frequent Lake George / Saratoga visitor and this was one of the worse experiences ever for me and my family. Wish someone put an honest review before I booked it and wasted my time.

The property owners took over this facility and definitely a work in progress....They have already put a ton of work into it and will end up being a great location when completed. Just like most places in lake george....its a mom and pop shop. We were just looking for an inexpensive place to stay that was clean. There are no bells and whistles but has a nice pool to use. Beds were new. Definitely can use some TLC on the inside but that will come with time. Overall great little place just to get some sleep and enjoy Lake George.
