"It was a good place to stay, beautiful view of the lake, plenty of room, nice kitchen. This was the first time, though, that I can recall we were asked to strip the beds and put the sheets in a laundry basket and start a load of laundry. The biggest drawback, and we don’t fault the host for this, is that the place had no air conditioning. We’re familiar with Northern Minnesota, and it’s generally cooler than the upper 80s and low 90s that we experienced this past weekend. There were some fans in the house and we brought several of our own, and it was still nearly unbearably hot, which took away from our enjoyment of the place. Given what’s happening with the world climate, you may want to consider adding air conditioning. Another challenge was getting down to the lake. We had no idea the cabin was so far above the lake level. Three people in our group of six did not even attempt going down. A new stairway is sorely needed. Aside from all that, the place was good and we had a good time. Thanks."

"If you want a real log cabin feel, this is the BEST! Charming, peaceful, clean - and located in the wooded lake area, but near everything tourists want to see. Loved it!"
