"Upon arrival at 3pm, our room was not ready. Manager Will was on site and gave us an upgrade at no extra cost. Room was very comfortable and clean. The next morning my cereal milk was sour. Reported to manager and fresh milk was in the lobby the next day. Second night after hiking, tried to take a shower but the shower handle came off! Left a message with the Manager. He got back within 30 minutes. Offered a different room but we were already settled in after using the sink to clean up. I requested a break on the room cost, and he offered 50% off our bill. The motel was fine. Had its glitches, but the manager tried to correct our issues in a timely and fair manner."
Cozy ADK Cabin in Tupper Lake - Near Rail Trail, Wild Center & Brewery
10/10 Excellent
"The cozy cottage was exactly as it was billed - small, comfortable, well equipped and convenient to town. We had everything we needed and had a pleasant night. We would rebook there the next time in Lake Placid."
"The room was spotless. Beds were comfortable. Opening up the floor to ceiling drapes revealed a screened in bug free patio that looks out over the beautiful lake. The sandy beach was great with chairs, kayaks, canoes, and a swimming area. Daniela and David were excellent hosts. We will stay the again."
Lakefront Charming 3-bedroom cottage on beautiful Cranberry Lake
10/10 Excellent
"This is a cozy property on a beautiful lake. My family and I loved that there were kayaks, a canoe and a rowboat to use. The pet friendly aspect was a huge draw for us as we like to travel with our dogs when we can."
"The property is located on a unique piece of land. The "backyard" area opens up to the lake and it is very peaceful to sit there and watch the sunset. So, A+ there.
In July of 2026 they are doing construction on the restaurant. I'm glad to see this place get some needed TLC in the form of capital investment. The downside is there is no breakfast or anything like that. There is a coffee shop within walking distance that has breakfast items. In the morning, there is a line out the door. Super popular place. I can't recall the name of it,but it shouldn't be hard to find.
The biggest downside here is that all the rooms are on the upper floors and there is zero AC. Also, no elevator or anything to help you schlepp your bags up the steep circa late 19th century staircase (not the typical 7x11 risexrun that became standardized since WWII). We were there in July and it was only mid 70s in the day and upper 50s in the night and our room was sweltering. If they ever add AC, I'd go back. If not, then not. At least not in July."
"The cabin was a little bit smaller than expected (photos on the website felt a little bit bigger) but everything was clean and comfortable. It was great having air-conditioning because we were there during a very hot week. We planned ahead and brought a an electric frying pan and an air fryer grill so that we could save a little bit of money and cook in our room so having picnic tables out on the grounds was wonderful to be able to take our food outside to eat.
The only downside was the Wi-Fi was very weak, we were not able to use the TV at all because it was connected to Wi-Fi. Thankfully there was a great thunderstorm that we could watch as we shut off all the lights and encourage us to tell some scary stories to each other!
My one suggestion would be to invest in a mesh system for the Wi-Fi so that the signal can reach all of the rooms and cabins successfully. Definitely helpful for parents like me that travel with children on the spectrum."
