"Place was very clean. Bathrooms do not have air. On One of the beds the pillow cases had mascara on them. Beds were comfortable . The owner communicated well with us. Loved the coffee bar. Very peaceful location !!! Loved the back area with view of the lake . Thank you for a great stay ! "

"We were in town for the HPU game. Our family enjoyed our stay. It was cozy and perfect for us. We cooked at home the whole weekend and the kitchen is very well stocked with all the supplies needed and spices. The added touch of having coffee supplies and toiletries in the restrooms were very much appreciated! We traveled with a dog. The back yard was perfect for him to exercise. This home is a must stay! "

"I had to come to Brownwood for work training, and I wanted to stay somewhere quiet on the water. This place DID NOT DISSAPOINT. The owners were awesome, I had to stay an unexpected extra day. I will definitely stay here every time I come here for training. I really was a nice peaceful week! I would 12/10 recommend. "

"It was the right size for our family gathering. I would say it was built in the 1960s, so it has some age on it. We all enjoyed the spacious living room, nice-sized kitchen and 2 full baths and a half bath. We had to clean the outdoor areas. Very dirty. The frig door was full of used itemd. Pots and pans old, grungy and unusable."

"Home was fine for fishing trip.A/C worked well and it was very hot. Location was about a 15 minute drive to the dam to launch. The Wild Duck was fairly close and had good food and friendly waitstaff. "

"If you are coming to Brownwood, this is an excellent place to stay! It is clean and bug free. Moonyeen and Don were absolutely wonderful to work with. They responded quickly to every request or question we had. They were both so kind and helpful. The house was stocked with everything we could have needed. The house is nice and affordable. "Nice big house with a boat dock, near public ramp. Other rentals on same property, use same boat dock. Plenty of parking for everyone. The stairs in the house are very steep. House needs some maintenance and lots of big spiders on the boat dock, but overall, we had a great time. The neighborhood was without water for a day and a half. "

"Decent place for a 1 night stay. The bed was comfortable, and everything was adequate for what we needed. Not a knock because we were ok with it, but I think it might be helpful to let people know that the foundation is really bad and many of the floors have some serious sloping that might not be a good thing for elderly people or people with knee or ankle issues. Other than that everything was as advertised."

"We enjoyed our stay at the melody and the nostalgia of it. I really liked that it was pet friendly and our dog was able to enjoy the lake with us. The neighbors were friendly and we saw tons of deer and baby deer. The hosts were super helpful!"
