The property provided not only an exceptional ocean view but in a convenient location for walking for groceries, restaurants, water excursions, and downtown Lahaina shops. Maui vacation week January’2023

This property is conveniently situated just outside of old town Lahaina, grocery shopping, beach and running path to other northbound resort beach complexes in Kaanapali and beyond. You can walk or drive, whichever is preferred. The perfect location for everything you need and do in West Maui. The ocean front view is priceless, and you can never get tired of sitting on the lanai and just watch / listen to the waves coming ashore anytime if the day. Unfortunately we missed the sea turtles sighting, but we heard from others they were there (just below the sea wall) one of the mornings. Nick is a super host, very detailed (instructions, helpful travel info, recommendations), highly responsive, and follows up with you during and after your stay. The apartment has everything we needed and we made brunch every morning watching the ocean, and on nights that we don’t want to go out, it’s easy to buy take-out or make something simple. The in-suite washer/dryer are very convenient and easy to operate. Our only feedback is if the floors could be even cleaner (we prefer to go barefoot inside home), that would make a perfect score. We had an amazing stay and we hope to return in the future!

Unbeatable location!

In the heart of Lahaina we could easily walk to shopping and restaurants. Multiple days we even walked to downtown Lahaina. The sunsets from our lanai were unbelievable. Turtles frequently visited in front of the property. The owner was extremely communicative, helpful and ensured we had everything we needed.

It was quite cozy and exactly what we needed. The location was nice, away from any noise from the main part of front street. I was glad it had a kitchen since we went fishing I had a place to cook my catch. The view was wonderful! It was a joy watching the sunset from the balcony, and wake up with morning coffee and watch the waves. The only real issue with the place was the sliding glass door to the balcony would get stuck, and was extremely hard to open. And if you can't handle the heat, there is no AC, which didn't bother us too often. All in all my husband and I had a nice stay and would come here again if we had the opportunity. Thanks!

Lahaina Roads vacation rentals

Location of rental was very near downtown Lahaina which was very convenient for for food, shopping, beautiful ocean scenery. Owner of property, Nick, was great to work with and very responsive to questions we had. He provided many restaurants and sights for us to check out. Overall great experience!

No frills condo, amazing location

The condo is exactly as described. The condo /building is dated but has the comforts of home including a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and beach gear (folding backpack chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkel masks). The toilet was a bit quirky and some lights didn’t work. For someone who likes it quite cool, the condo was quite warm during the day even with windows/patio doors open and fans running, but Nick the owner had forewarned us about this. The downsides were outweighed by the excellent oceanfront location where turtles can be seen swimming right up to the sea wall.

Great Location & Helpful Touches

We loved this place. Although the property is a bit dated, it's clean and well maintained. The location cannot be beaten. It's a mere 0.3 miles from 5 or 6 great restaurants, as well as a Safeway, and only 0.6 miles from Baby Beach. Before we arrived, we were concerned that the lack of air conditioning might be a problem, but it was not. Although it got up to 85 degrees most days of our stay, the fans and natural breezes kept things quite pleasant. All appliances worked as advertised (the toilet is very temperamental, but it worked during our entire stay). The pool is very clean and warm. One of the things we most appreciated was all of the beach supplies that were available -- chairs, towels, an umbrella, water shoes, and plenty of sunscreen. Nick, the owner, was very responsive, and check-in was easy. We would stay here again in a heartbeat -- and I sure hope that we do so very soon!

Perfect Location!

Wish I could give this property higher marks for location - it simply can't be beat! We've stayed in this building a few times, and it's the best. Walk to downtown Lahaina, Baby Beach or just a couple blocks to the Safeway/Longs Drugs and several restaurants. Parking is super convenient right under the building - although you might want to avoid renting a jumbo-sized vehicle. The condo sits just yards from the ocean and the views of the sunset are spectacular. There's also a nice (and super clean) swimming pool with lounge chairs, and BBQ area with easy-to-operate gas grills. Can't wait to go back!

Such a great spot. Watched the whales all week from our balcony. The sound of the waves so close… so relaxing…. Walked to grocery, restaurants, Starbucks. Short hop to the harbor. Perfect spot. Hope to come back someday!!!!

Love this place!

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Lahaina Roads and when we come back, we will definitely look to stay here again! The location is wonderful and you cannot beat the view! Nick, the owner, was so accommodating to us, you couldn't ask for someone better.

Old and outdated.

First of all this property has one of the best locations and views. But that is where it stops. It is very old and outdated. It may have been clean but because of the bedding and everything else it felt dirty. The stool didn’t work half the time. The rugs in the place were out right gross. Oven was broke. A lot of lights were out in bath and it was very dark. This place had great ratings and I think it’s because of location. The sheets on bed were like the ones my grandmas would of had and very thin. I could go on and on. I hate giving bad reviews but really feel that people need to know how bad it was. The pool area was very nice and the ground were also. I just think the owner doesn't want to put in money into the place and hasn’t since the early 60’s. When I shared this with him he was like everyone loves the place. Also I am not someone who has to have a 5 star place. But this place was way below any place I would ever stay had I known how bad it really was. Good thing is we just stayed gone. No AC so during the day it was way to hot to be there. Nights were livable. Nick is great to work with but in denial as to how bad the place is.

Paradise for Sure

Fantastic view, glorious sunsets, fabulous location! We had such a good time on our vacation. And Nick is a great communicator to make sure all questions are answered and he has a wealth of Maui information. Looking forward to a return trip!
