Lahaina at the Papakea

Beautiful grounds. Wonderful view from lanai. I use it as my screensaver. I traveled with 5 grandchildren from 14 to 21. The 21 yr old was a boy so he had to sleep on the couch. The 4 girls slept in the master using the twin mattress on the floor. They had a wonderful time as they could walk to many shops nearby

Papakea

This was our third visit to Papakea. It is a well kept property in a quiet relaxing neighborhood. Beach access has some obstacles, which is why we rent a car and visit beaches through the island, daily adventures. I'm sure we'll stay at a Papakea unit again in the future.

Maui getaway

Overall, the unit was in a great location and would stay again. The complex offered a feeling of a friendly and fun atmosphere without the overly rowdy party crowd. The only criticisms would be to have a complete patio furniture set (table and chairs) on the lanai be taller in order to be able to sit and see over the railing and trees. The lanai only had two taller chairs that offered better views. The other would be to have more complete cookware (pots and pans with lids) and some wine stoppers for refrigeration storage. Other than the small items indicated, the stay was fantastic.

Beautiful location

Beautiful property, vey well maintained and manicured grounds. We enjoyed the planned activities: MaiTai night, lei making, and the putting course was fun. The condo was well stocked with beach chairs, coolers, golf clubs and balls, boogie boards, etc. Our only complaint was the queen bed in the 2nd bedroom needs to be replaced as you sink to the middle and it has no support!!! The staff was very helpful. We saw lots of whales and a sea turtle in front of condo wall . We were within walking distance of the beach. The kids loved the pool and hot tub.It is a 5 min. Drive to the town of Lahaina, making it a very convenient location.

First time visit to Hawaii

The condo was very comfortable for the 3 of us. We used the kitchen for breakfast everyday and several lunches & dinners, so really appreciated the way it was stocked with cooking utensils and plenty of dishes. The cupboard had basic seasonings, which was great. The little store next door was really convenient for grabbing souvenirs, snacks & salads! The pool was clean, there are several grills which were cleaned daily. The lawn chairs along the sea wall were nice. And the lanai was great for being in the Sun even if it was rainy & windy out. I’d stay here again!

Papakea Paradise

We had a great stay. Main bed was super comfy. Guest beds were less comfy but kids were troopers. Great condo set up for a family. Lovely view from bedroom and mirror wall gives living room a wonderful view of ocean too.

An Amazing Vacation

We had a great stay at this properly. The location was excellent as were the property amenities. The condo was exactly as described and worked perfectly for our 8 night stay.

Family trip at a great condo

Great condo with a great view. Loved the beach chairs and boogie boards. The property grounds were beautiful. We loved the pool, shuffleboard, golfing green and pickleball courts. Noticed a few things that needed to be improved or fixed but was assured by the owner that they would be fixed. And the owner was quick to answer questions during office hours.

Great Experience

Our family of 7 stayed for 9 nights. The location was perfect and close to everything. Our kids snorkeled daily and/or swam in the pool. The condo had boogie boards, snorkeling gear (which we just bought our own), chairs, umbrella, a cooler, pretty much everything you need for a day on the beach. The master bed was extremely comfortable; I had the best sleep! I do wish they would've provided more laundry soap and trash bags, they only left us with 3 for 10 days. I feel as though the length of our stay and the size of our family they would have accommodated for more than just that. Overall, our experience was a great one!

Everything you need, perfect stay, great resort, beach access

As a family of 5 this was a great place to stay. Overall the unit was very clean. Stocked perfectly for a vacation. Room included books and board games, all the beach equipment you need (beach chairs, snorkels (2), towels, flotation belts, boogie boards, etc). master bed room was very large. The other bedroom was average size, but with two beds. Showers were clean and comfortable. The resort itself is great. Although it is ocean front it doesn't have its own beach. However, it is next to another property, with a bridge to the beach there. It was a fine beach to hang out and play on. Snorkeling at that beach wasn't so great. Resort is across the street from Bob's snorkel rental and Times supermarket. There is also a quaint coffee shop within 5 min walk. There is also a food truck park in walking distance for a quick lunch or dinner. The resort also has a concierge desk to help plan activities. Friendly staff all around. Parking is great. Wifi worked fine. If I had to pick one issue with the resort, it would be that myperfectstays is very strict with their 4PM checkin. A better planner may have been able to fill their day at the beach or something else with easily accessible gear from the suitcase. We ended heading to Kihei for lunch since we didn't plan on going in that direction during our stay. Overall, highly recommend and we had a fantastic time here.

Paradise

The condo was just as described. Perfect in every way. Very clean and did not see one bug! It had everything we needed to enjoy the beach. The view from the lani was amazing! The pool and spa were great. I would definitely stay in this unit again!!

Wonderful resort - not the best unit

This resort complex is wonderful. Beautifully maintained grounds, great view of the ocean, very clean, excellent pool, putting green for use, resort sponsored activities, and walkable to a market and a variety of restaurants. I would definitely stay at the resort again. However, if I returned I would not stay in this unit again. There were two major issues: the air conditioning in the main room catastrophically did not work. It leaked water all down the wall requiring us to place mixing bowls on the floor to catch the water, and we had to empty the bowls multiple times per day. I reported this to the management firm right away and it took 4 days for them to send someone out to repair it. Additionally, the other room AC units were so dirty (confirmed but not fixed by the repair man because not approved by the management company) that they did not work fully so our room was hot for sleeping. They would not move my family to a new unit, and seemed most concerned about the owner's potential lost revenue. In addition, the freezer leaked all over the floor more than once and this was never addressed. Overall, I would not rent this unit again - nor would I recommend it to family / friends.

Perfect spot

We loved this property inside and out. Everything was clean and comfortable in the unit. The pool amenities were very good. We played shuffleboard, swam, hot tubbed and too lovely walks along the water. We were close to a grocery store, walking distance, also close to places to eat out. The concierge was very helpful in booking activities. We were very happy and plan to return to Papakea.

Family Vacation

This condo was exactly as advertised. My husband, myself and our two adult kids (23 and 20) absolutely loved our stay. I wish I never had to leave. The view was amazing. The resort and condo had everything we needed for a great vacation.

Beautiful Papakea

Papakea is a beautiful resort. Nice beach view from condo. Condo was clean and very nice. A bit noisy from neighbors above. Overall the condo stay was enjoyable. . One caveat was the master bedroom bed. The mattress is essentially shot. The foam rubber topper actually made it worse. Please replace the mattress so future guests may have a comfortable nights sleep.

Beautiful Condo

We had an amazing 10 day stay at J202! It was clean, well appointed and as an added bonus had boogie boards, beach chairs and a cooler that was so nice to have. We appreciated that the master suite was on the other side of the condo from the room our teenagers stayed in. Our favorite part was coffee and wine on the lanai while watching the whales frolic and the easy walking distance to conveniences like ABC, the food trucks and Bad Ass Coffee. Would highly recommend this unit and would love to visit again soon! Thank you!

A great location and comfortable stay in Maui

The location of the resort worked really well for us; far enough away from the crowds but walkable to shops, restaurants, and a small beach. The view from the patio is exactly as advertised. The bathrooms were stocked with small tubes of shampoo and conditioner, but no soap. Many of the games that were provided by the owners were missing pieces, a small disappointment. We wished for seating in the living room to add to the sofa and dining table chairs. However, the beds were comfortable and many towels were provided. The condo included beach chairs and boogie boards, in addition to beach towels and a couple of coolers. The resort itself was beautifully maintained. While there is not a fitness center onsite, the management offered a daily activity for people looking for light exercise. Kaanapali is a little further drive from the airport and the main harbor, but it was a lot less congested than Kihei. Would definitely return to this location for a future vacation!
