Beautifully well kept property tucked within the walls of the Old City. Relaxing and calming vibe in every aspect. A short walk into the city center. This is not a bustling beachfront property, which suited our needs nicely. Farm to table concept restaurant. There is even an extensive garden on the grounds.

One of my new favorite hotels

Can't say enough good things about Casa Mae. It looked amazing online, but even exceeded our expectations. It is so gorgeous and clean - but the service is also incredible and everything we ate there was delicious! You could easily be happy not leaving the hotel! It is in a perfect location as well, so nice to walk out the door and be on the streets of Lagos surrounded by shops and restaurants. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. What a beautiful serene place. It’s in the perfect location in Lagos - just inside the city wall and very easy 5 minute walk to the bustling middle of the old town with restaurants in abundance. (And great little boutique shops). The rooms are lovely, the pool area is gorgeous- right by the main old house of Casa Mae - the hotel has two (or more) buildings where the rooms are located. The staff are very helpful. We did a walking tour with Carla which was fabulous. Overall we loved our stay and will be back.

The most DELIGHTFUL hotel!

Casa Mae must be the loveliest hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life! When I checked in, the ladies at the desk were so friendly and they had my bags taken right up to my room. Everyone at the hotel spoke both English and Portuguese so you can be comfortable communicating in whatever language you prefer. When I entered my room, there was a chilled bottle of wine, delicious little pastries under glass domes, multiple bottles of water and a small bouquet of flowers. My room was SO amazing! The bed was wonderfully comfortable and there was a huge soaking tub waiting for me to relax in. The hotel provided the most delightful bath crystals and scented soaps to enjoy with my entire stay. There was a little outdoor balcony with comfortable chairs to unwind outside. The room came with a speaker to enjoy a relaxing playlist to help you wind down at the end of the day. Each evening, the hotel left a refreshed bottle of water and little pastries as a treat. The restaurant had the most AMAZING and DELICIOUS breakfast that was complimentary. I can honestly say the restaurant had some of the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had, and I try eggs benedict everywhere I go! The breakfast also included fruit such as apples or persimmons sourced from their local farms which were absolutely delicious. Lastly, when I checked out of the hotel, I was given two little ceramic espresso cups that were painted a light blue inside and had Casa Mae etched on the bottom as a souvenir for my stay.

An almost perfect Place

The Case Mae is an incredible place! The welcome area and every room is something really special. After you get welcomed with a wonderful drink (natural wine etc.) you already seeing the lovely open kitchen / restaurant and the beautiful outside area. We got lucky and, after we first lived in the hotel, we able to move to the renovated villa (room Horta). This room is so wunderful, perfect via over the amazing pool & farm and just wonderful decorated. The only thing why this place is not perfect is the service. I believe for a quiet expensive 5* hotel, the service could a bit better. I know it is maybe too much to ask but sometimes a little bit more exclusive, private, smile and courteous.

Kære Casa Mae, Vi håber i kan bruge denne anmeldelse som er skrevet med henblik på at forbedre jeres ellers fantastiske sted. Indledningsvis kom vi sent aften, hvilket måske kan forklarer hvorfor vi aldrig fik en rundvisning af jeres flotte hotel/ejendom og ikke fik fortalt om fx hvor poolen eller sparområdet var placeret. ? Men Hvis vi starter med værelset, var det i gav os lokaliseret ud mod gaden, hvilket var lettere støjende, hvad enten der blev hentet affald eller andre hotelgæster skulle tjekke ud. Sengen var meget hård efter vores smag og sovepuderne lidt for høje. Badeværelset og rummet var dejligt stort, men vi savnede nogle møbler til at opbevare vores tøj. Derudover kan man diskutere om der mangler et fjernsyn, men jeg tænker jeres konceptet netop ligger op til ro & reflektion. Vi spiste 4 gange på jeres restaurant ud af 3 dage som vi var indlogeret. Morgenmaden var fantastisk. Her var Katarina fantastisk sød og opmærksom. Ligeledes skal Sergio i receptionen have ros for at hjælpe hvis vi havde et spørgsmål og han var altid handlingsparat. Hvad der angår aftensmaden, var maden fin men ikke en 5 stjernet restaurant værdig. Det er svært at sætte præcis ord på hvad der manglede for at trække oplevelsen op på et højere niveau, men til at starte med har oplevelsen med vores tjener, som var direkte kort for hovedet og uhøflig, sikkert haft en betydning. Og generelt jeres mandskab var der stor udsving på. Nogle var rigtig søde og serviceminded men

Amazing - 10/10 recommend!!

Our stay at Casa Mae was incredible. The environment was beautiful, comfortable, and serene in every way. The hotel is within walking distance to the main parts of town - which were of course, also stunning. Couldn't recommend this place enough!! Really made our stay feel luxurious, without it being too expensive.
