"My brothers & I stayed here for three nights while on a road trip, the stay exceeded all expectations, the host Donnatella & Gianni were incredibly hospitable & helpful, as we wanted to go to Modena & Bologna for the City & of course Ferrari, but at Donnatellas suggestion we visited Pagani, a really unexpected highlight, we all agreed you can’t go wrong here, great hosts comfortable rooms& good road connections, we have no hesitation in recommending them, many thanks again"
"Needed a place to stay and jump back on highway. This hotel met our needs. Breakfast was great. Front desk staff were friendly. Cute residential area. Parking in the back. Basic hotel for quick overnight stay. "
"We booked this hotel only for a night as there was no availability for more nights. What a shame! What a beauty!
We wish we could stayed longer but will definitely be back. What a lovely place to stay ! "
"Lorenzo, the owner was a great host, always very attentive to make sure our stay was excellent! Breakfast was great and our room was very nice with a lot of charm. We highly recommend Il Contado, and Lorenzo!"
"What a wonderful property. The staff is most excellent, very helpful, and worked well with us and our very broken Italian. The property is clean and bright and the restaurant is lovely. Breakfast was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "

"Pick up from the airport to the hotel not clear by reception especially for a traveler of no knowledge of the airport. I had to pay for a taxi to get to the hotel.
But everything else was satisfactory!

"The Acetaia is a rare gem, untouched by the ruin of “travel influencers,” that I was happy to find in researching a quiet and peaceful stay centrally-located in Emilia Romagna. This B&B is situated inside of a 500 year old manor house on a rustic farm with many friendly animals. It’s run by the Malagoli family matriarch, Barbara, who bakes fresh sweet cakes for breakfast every morning and makes delicious cappuccini. Rooms are large and comfortable, each with its on guest-controlled mini-split AC unit. The property is expansive and fun to explore. Friendly cats, roosters, hens and peacocks roam freely. A family of ducks and donkeys are penned in a large enclosure nearby. Barbera is kind and accommodating, offering many recommendations for meals and things to see in Castelfranco Emilia, Modena, and Bologna. We booked a Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar tasting experience and enjoyed both very much. The B&B is a great option for anyone seeking respite from overcrowded tourist spots in favor of an authentic “slow travel” experience. It is recommended to rent a car to drive to and from the local cities for things to see and do. The property is located approximately 1/2 hour drive from Maranello, Modena, and Bologna. A little further is Parma, and Florence is possible as a day trip by car or train ride from Bologna. I would not hesitate to return if offered an opportunity to visit the region in the future. "
"What a beautiful place to stay. Literally an Italian villa in the countryside. We had 12 people stay here for 8 nights. Plenty of privacy, bedrooms, bathrooms. Would absolutely stay here again. The caretakers Gabriella and her husband were perfect hosts and very helpful! He even carried our luggage in and out for us! "
"Great staff and fantastic service. The handicapped capable room needs some minor work on the shower, the water from the shower covers the entire floor instead of angling towards the drain. The staff was very accommodating and quickly made a temporary fix during our stay."
