Jaeyong

It's in a relatively quiet and safe neighbourhood with good dining options. A Teleferico station is nearby which provides a convenient transport to the city. While my room had good views and was clean enough for an overnight stay, the hotel was in an urgent need for upgrade. In the entrance and corridors, the hotel had an unexplained and unpleasant odour. I didn't choose to stay for more nights.

Where do I begin? Wow ... Elegance is not the word I would use. Staff is great. Hot shower great. I'm sure the place was a 3 star hotel in the 1970s. It has not been touched since then. Chairs literally falling apart and you have to hammer the arms back in place. Sofas so old no one would take them for free off the street. Towels shredding. Rug dirty. I travel a lot so I'm used to simple hotels but this one needs an entire overhaul. Breakfast is terrible. Every day only toast, jelly, cheese, ham slices, watermelon. Very sad to see a probably once great place in such a terrible state
