The hotel is set is lovely surroundings. Very peaceful and relaxing with nice pool area. Can’t comment on the food as restaurant was shut when we stayed - also very limited places to eat in local town on a Monday too.

Return to the Sologne.

Idiyllic setting in the Sologne countryside with views over the lake and wide open grounds where a small herd of sheep graze peacefully through the day. Perfect overnight stop just off A20 en route north from the Dordogne. Return visit met expectations.

Dinner has always been an important feature. The food was good apart from my wife’s fish main course which was overcooked and hard. Bed was hard and pillows uncomfortable.

We had a lovely stay at this property. There is great parking just outside. We were welcomed warmly and walked to our room. We arrived quite late but were advised we could still have dinner and were given some time to settle in and get back to the dining room. The service throughout the meal was lovely and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. The next morning, we had the breakfast which was also really good. Our checkout was quick. We had our dog and he was welcome everywhere which was really nice.

Too short a visit

An overnight stay in a setting where we would be happy for a week. Secluded lakeside retreat in delightful surroundings. No menu choice for dinner but we were warned in advance with details of what would be served and it was beautifully prepared. Air conditioning would have been welcome at 40+ but the fan helped.

De omgeving was supermooi! Er waren enkele vijvers en alles was goed onderhouden. Ook onze hond was heel welkom. Ze was zelfs welkom in het restaurant. De kamer was voldoende groot, maar wel heel donker. Er was geen centraal lichtpunt, alleen enkele tafellampen, Wij vonden dit niet voldoende Maar ondanks dit toch een zeer sterke aanrader! Zeker als je met je viervoeter bent!

Gode omgivelser, mindre god komfort

Ved ankomsten er L'Orée des Chênes et sted hvor man tænker, at det bliver perfekt. Området er enormt lækkert, parklignende og med sø, pool, svaner, geder og flotte bygninger. Desværre var komforten på værelset ikke god. Enkeltsengene er smalle, madrasserne meget bløde og puderne meget høje. På badeværelset hænger spejlet meget lavt, så man ikke kan se sig selv (1,98 høj bør kunne bruge et normalt spejl). Brusebad foregår siddende i et badekar på grund af skråvæg og der er intet forhæng. Ingen mulighed for aircondition, dog havde vi en ventilator. Personalet var flinke og rare. Morgenmaden var middelmådig. Udvalget var godt, smagen ikke så god. Kaffemaskinen larmede meget, hver gang en gæst brugte den og det tog lidt af freden. Det samme med trappen og gangbroen foran værelserne. Med nogle ændringer hist og her, og lidt restaurering er der potentiale for et helt fantastisk sted.

Hôtel dans un cadre magnifique en bordure de forêt, avec des animaux en liberté c'est très apaisant. Personnel très accueillant et sympathique. Style des chambres un peu passé de mode et légèrement défraîchi mais c'est très correct.

Dommage de ne pouvoir bénéficier d'un grand lit, sans supplément alors que l'hôtel est quasi vide. Pas de mail à la réservation pour informer que le restaurant est fermé le soir. On peut comprendre du faite du peu de personne mais serait bien de prevenir.

Séjour parfait avec ma fille de 5 ans. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Propreté impeccable. Seul bémol de la chambre, un petit manque de lumière. Petit déjeuner continental complet, jus d'oranges frais, viennoiseries, charcuterie, fromage, œufs, tout y est. Le cadre est vraiment magnifique, un vrai petit coin de calme et de verdure. Personnel très accueillant, disponible. Il me tarde de tester le restaurant la prochaine fois.

In einem großen Park mit zwei Seen sehr schön gelegenes Hotel, perfekt für Zwischenübernachtungen auf Durchreise. Restaurant könnte besser sein, speziell für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel. Stört aber nicht.

Très belle endroit qui malheureusement n’est pas prévu pour des fortes chaleurs: une climatisation mobile dans la chambre incapable de refroidir la pièce avec une hauteur importante. Demande d’un ventilateur pour compenser mais beaucoup de bruit… deux nuits très difficiles et donc impactant le repos.
