We had a great time in L'escala, our 4th visit. This was probably the best villa we have stayed in for the villa itself. Well equipped in all ways, kitchen, living area, bedrooms, utilities in the garage, all great. The air con was available, however, the villa seemed quiet cool during our stay so probably did not use it as much as expected. The most comfortable sofa we have encountered in a villa. The beds were also very comfortable and we slept so well. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Whilst the outside and pool was so useful for us, it does not a little bit of attention. The pool needs a good clean on the tiles and when we used some spray on them, what we assumed was light green tiles where actually white. Despite being told the pool cleaners would come 4 times a week, we only saw them once and that was a fleeting visit. When we took the inflatables out of the water they had a green mould marks on the underneath. Quite a few tiles where missing. Also, some of the sunbeds supports where broken or the screws kept coming out causing the supports to fall off. The only other thing to be aware of is the need of a damage deposit, which is something we found excessive.These things did not detract from the great time we had and we would return here in the future. Just a bit of tlc in some areas and I would have given it 10 out of 10.
