Friendly staff. A kitchen in the room is a bonus. The only issue we have is the sofa bed which is very uncomfortable to sleep on.

The staff were so helpful and polite. The room was very clean, with a washer and kitchenette. Lovely area, with a convenience store opposite. 20 mins away from kyoto station.

Room was very clean and comfortable. It is a very simple and basic hotel. It does not include breakfast. Room was comfortable. Beds were comfortable, but the pillows were extremely big and hard. I woke up with a headache the day after and had to go buy myself a pillos. The extra bed was really a futon, not really a real bed. I requested an iron, but it really didn't do much to iron wrinkles off my clothes. Other than that, water pressure in the bathroom was good. Water temperature was good too. It's a simple hotel. Don't expect any fanciness, but if you are out and about for most of the day, it gets the job done. There's a Family Mart right around the corner for basic necessities. It is not close to Kyoto Center and it will take at least 20-30 mins by bus every day. Take that into consideration if location is important to you. Room was quiet. No street noise. We slept well.

The bath room had a very bad mold smell and the terrace was not clean. We were about 7-8 blocks away from the different trains. There isn’t much to eat in the area but the family mart is less than a block away. It was an ok stay. I would recommend it for the price but not the best in location. Also there is a washing machine (they give you 2 wash pods) but since the bath room smelled like mold we couldn’t put it in there to dry.

This hotel is very nice but the location is a bit inconvenient. I think Kyoto as a whole doesn’t have a wide train station so every tourist attraction from the hotel is a 15-30 min car ride. The hotel was clean and staff were nice, no hotel breakfast though. The beds aren’t the most comfortable but it’s manageable. Overall would stay again for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stay SAKURA Kyoto Fuga. The hotel was clean, modern, and very comfortable with excellent service. However, most tourist spots and train stations were a bit far, so we often used Go Taxi to get around luckily, taxis were affordable and convenient.
