This is the ideal place for staying in Kyoto. Convenient to the Palace, shopping, and Gion. We have stayed at over a dozen accommodations in Japan and this is by far our favorite. Perfect for more independent travelers since it is more like having your own apartment than a traditional hotel. We will stay here again!

Spacious with kitchen and washing machine, so great if travelling with a family. Could have been cleaner, by Japanese standards, but maybe my standards just got skewed by the other pristine hotels I stayed at during my time in Japan though .

Quiet area but close enough to convenience stores and restaurants. Bathroom dryer tricky at first but it was fine. Staff very responsive whenever we needed something. Clean and spacious (in terms of Japanese hotels).

Staff here was excellent incredibly accommodating they helped us with our luggage, which is imperative when you’re traveling from multiple cities. At the front desk, however they also have one of the best teas that Japan has to offer that they brew themselves in-house on the daily.

Great sized property for a family holiday. Good facilities like the kitchen and washing machine. The bathroom also serves as a drying room, so we don’t have to wash again on our holiday. An unexpected gift! Walkable to station and imperial palace.

Very nice apartments located in residential area. Quiet but accessible, close to shopping and dining. We had the family room that has enough space for my family of 4. Comfortable stay with everything we needed. Washer in the room which is very convenient. Recommend.

I had a very horrible experience with this hotel. Communication was terrible. I had booked the stay at this hotel a month in advance, I received confirmation that payment was made right away. On the day of, my family arrived at hotel in the afternoon. I was not able to get into the hotel. There was a phone number posted on the front I tried calling this number multiple times and could not get through. My grandparents and I waited for an hr with no place to sit. No cafe nearby either. I was finally able to get into the building when someone came out. Inside I found a phone that was able to reach the front desk Staff told me check in location was at a different area about 30-40 mins away. In the front of the hotel it states if checking in after hrs the hotel can provide a code to enter the room first and then go back to check in in the morning. I explained that I have 2 elderly and 8 luggage’s. Is it possible for them to provide the code for the room first my grandparents can stay there while I took the train back to the check in area. They told me no, they were not willing to accommodate for this need. But I had told them the stay for the 4 nights was already paid for in full but they refused. In the end had to book another hotel cause grandparents were not feeling well after long flight. Hotel refused to refund the money. They then called me and sent check in instructions the next day. No use at that time. Lied to expedia that they sent it prior to check in.

Room was spacious for us, 2 adults and 2 kids. AC system kept the room cool during the 90° heat outside. Having a table that fit 4 people was a plus because it makes eating easier and it helped our kids do schoolwork on their laptops. This property has the toilet and shower separate which we liked. Washer and dryer in room with detergent included. Location was not the best just because there were no train or bus stations close by. Nishiki Market was a 15 min walk. Kyoto station is a 10 min walk to the bus station plus another 7 min bus ride.

We had issue at the self checkin as our key didn’t work at the room door. We had to wait for 45 minutes at the reception for them to figure out and assign the other apartment. We also didn’t like the bed as it was really hard. Otherwise very clean and in an amazing area.

The start was a bit bumpy. To check in you do it at a separate location which is an office close to Kyoto station. But they offered a shuttle (a van) to drive me to the property and left me in front of the building. Ask for the shuttle, it is a no brainer. The property itself was fantastic and super spacious even by American standards. My room came with 2 queen sized beds and a small couch and a couple of chairs, kitchenette.They are weird about not having non-registered visitors. The property has a washer, but no dryer. They recommend using a drying feature on the bathroom but there is little place to hang your clothes.

Great Place to Stay in Kyoto with Kitchen!

Everything was good. Only hard part is the check in in their main office near kyoto station while raining. We opted to take a taxi instead from the station after. They will ask for 200 per night per person in cash as accommodation tax. After settling in the hotel, everything was easy and walkable. There is a nearby Yamato office where we dropped off our luggage to the next location. For our online reserved car rental, we just walked to the Toyota rent-a-car. The bus is just 2 stops away from Gion area where Takashimaya is plus a short walk to the bus stop. We used the kitchenette a lot during our stay. There’s a Fresco nearby but I prefer the stuff from the Coop grocery. Free drinking water is only 2L per stay so we bought water for our use. There’s a vendo machine also outside but Family Mart is cheaper for the 2L ones. The room is good for 4 people in my opinion. There’s 4 sets of amenities, wifi, a washing machine!, small safe, big fridge, utensils and cookware. You have to throw the garbage out on the 1st floor once it’s full with just the recyclables separated. Our room 508 was quiet and great. I suggest you use your Netflix password and watch Makanai Cooking for the Maiko to add to your Kyoto experience :) Ippudo Tea is also nearby - yummy Hojicha Latte! We would stay here again and check out the restaurants nearby for next time! That’s it!

It is an apt style so, we love that there’s a mini kitchen, fridge, microwave , washer and dryer (there’s an instruction on how to dry clothes inside the bathroom and a button to press -cool! Read their manual) the toilet is separate from the shower so it’s very good esp for our family of 4. Not a lot of dining options nearby but this wasn’t a problem to us, they’re all walkable anyway. We love Resi and when we come back, we’ll try other Resi Stays.

We stayed in the Japanese style suite. Great amount of space for a family of four. The shower room converts into a clothes dryer, which was amazing to me. Two private toilets and a small kitchen. Safe and key required to access premises. Highly recommended.

Very quiet area. Many restaurants nearby that don't show up on google maps. It is a little bit of a walk to the subway lines. A/C worked good. It had two toilets which was nice and a kitchen.
