スタッフは日本語が話せる外国人ですがとても親切です。 Instagramフォローでワンドリンクサービスとのことでビールをもらいました。 夏場なので冷却シートのサービスもありました。 部屋は清潔で、ドライヤー、スリッパ、浴衣、歯ブラシ、トイレットペーパー予備も完備され、ちょうどいい温度に冷やしてくれてました。知恩院前でこの値段はお得だと思います。

We loved our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the bed and the room in comparison with other hotels we stayed at! Staff were kind and helpful. Location was incredible and walking to all sorts of attractions was very easy. Would stay again!

Es un hotel pequeño pero bien ubicado para turistas, el hotel ofrece desayuno bufet por la mañana en 1000 yenes por persona. Ofrecen el servicio diario de limpieza sin cargo extra sin embargo la chica güera de la recepción aunque se le da la indicación y se le deja la llave, ella no atiende de buena manera las indicaciones de los huéspedes y finalmente de los 4 días que estuve en el hotel solo me hicieron la limpieza dos día que casualmente coincidió cuando se le dejó a esta persona la llave y la indicación. Ojalá el hotel pueda hacer algo porque por una persona la imagen del hotel recae.

i enjoyed my stay at gion crystal hotel for a couple reasons. the double room i booked was more spacious than the other hotels i’ve stayed at in japan. the bed was huge, but there was plenty of floor space for day to day things like re packing, getting dressed, etc. the location of the hotel is down a small street that’s quiet, i never took the train once in kyoto as everything i went to was within walking distance. usually 25 minutes max. my only downsides were: no breakfast at the hotel, the bed was not so comfortable, the tv is on a weird angle on the wall so you are unable to watch from laying in bed without sitting on the edge, or laying at an awkward angle. the bathroom was very compact and small, i feel it could have been made bigger. the shower head wasn’t fabulous but it did the job so that’s really all that matters! i did appreciate the 11:00am checkout time and that the hotel staff will hold your luggage before check in and after check out if you have any sightseeing to do. there is also the yasaka shrine right across the street, and a starbucks 5 minutes away. nonetheless, i had a nice time in kyoto and at the hotel. if you’re not super picky and on a budget, this is a good option 😇

Everything was ok, except for the blonde lady in the front desk, despite I indicated to do the cleaning of the whole room, she did not care. I left the key as instructions indicated, she understood what I wanted it and for some reason, she did not care, in two days I did not got the cleaning, I stayed for 4 nights. During the other two day I did got the cleaning because was other person at the front desk. It really disappointed that for one person, I was disappointed and frustrated with my stay

The staff were friendly and helpful of any questions/requests that I had. The property is a short walk from subway and very close to the Yasaka Shrine/Gion and Pontocho areas. Large and pretty room made stay very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Great location

Great location with Maruyama Par just across the road and walking distance to most places. The hotel provided a free breakfast that was a pleasant surprise. There was a problem with my booking and the lady on reception took a lot of effort to sort it out for me.

Rooms were not super clean, found hairs on the bed and the shower that were not mine (blonde vs I’m brunette). Only a duvet and fitted sheet were on my bed no sheet. No slippers were provided so you can take your shoes on and off Japanese style. However, the room was very spacious for Japan. The main front desk lady was not Japanese and therefore spoke English with an unfamiliar accent making communication hard, I don’t believe she fully informed me of every amenity. I only know from other reviews that they had breakfast offered. She was very friendly though. The location is a must- right across beautiful Yasaka shrine and located next to an amazing Wagyu skewer vendor. Also located near Gino’s old canal. Very convenient location and would stay again for that reason.
