Location instructions was unclear from the booking confirmation, only managed to find accommodation after host contacted via whatsapp."

"It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there. "

The management had already found us accommodation 500m away in a nice hotel, the price was the same and they catered for our dietary requirements at very short notice. "The hotel is a bit dated and evidences of renovations are everywhere, but the service is excellent and the hotel is clean and well run. The real bonus is the fact that both a buffet breakfast and a light dinner are provided free as part of the hotel bill. While not exactly gourmet, both the dinner and breakfast were more than adequate. A real bargain."
