Rainforest Sunsets by Tiny Away is a serene tiny house escape located in Kuranda, along Australia’s lush northeast coast. Just minutes from Stoney Creek Falls, Glacier Rock, and Barron Gorge, it stands out among the region’s most peaceful holiday homes for those seeking nature and quiet.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except for the sheds and stables, which we strongly advise against entering.

By car: 2.5 km to Kuranda Village.

By public transport: The Kuranda taxi is not reliable transport, this includes the bus from the Cairns airport. But, there are always taxi’s at the airport and public transport options including taxi are not reliable .
Other Things to Note:
- Firewood is $25 per bag
- Check-in must be before 7:00 PM
- Mobile reception is good for Telstra
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have a friendly dog on site to greet arriving guests
- Please be careful on the steps up to enter the accommodation
- Remember to close the gates when entering and leaving the property
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- The Kuranda Range closes nightly from 9:00 PM – 4:00 AM for road works. Guests attending events in Cairns are advised to check the Transport and Main Roads website for update

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
