  • On 14 April 2016, a massive earthquake (magnitude 6.2) struck Kumamoto prefecture and damaged numerous structures of the Kumamoto Castle complex including the main castle. Routes and pathways were still open and available for visitors. During our visit, efforts for reconstruction of Kumamoto castle were under way as can be seen in the background of this photo. The Uto Yagura turret (foreground), on the other hand, survived the quake and remains intact.

冷蔵庫の中に埃が溜まっていました。また、2泊しましたが1泊目の清掃を希望したら、テーブルの上の空き瓶はそのまま、使用したコップも交換されておらずティッシュが被されていました。色んなホテルに泊まりましたが、こういう対応は初めてだったのでびっくりしました。

連泊で部屋が角部屋なのでエアコンがまったく効かず、その上洗面所から赤い水が出たので部屋を変えてもらいました。変わった部屋はとても快適でした。難有りの安い部屋を申し込んでないのに残念でした。
