"When we arrived the whole apartment smelled of sewer, like there hadn’t been anyone in several weeks. After a few hours of running water intermittently and opening the window we could get the smell out. There was both a dishwasher and a washing machine but nowhere to hang wet clothes to dry. Hanging them on the (turned off) towel dryer in the bathroom made the clothes not dry at all in 2 days as the bathroom was always very, very humid. "Very nice place excellent room with terrace and many nice amenities. It is a bit far from the town of Brodnica but it is very nice and on a lake. It was hard to connect to check in somehow the owner didn’t get my multiple emails through hotels.com( advance arrangements had to be made to have someone open the place as it has no desk staff) however once i phoned the man everything went smoothly "

"We had an issue with a smoky room and then when moved there was a leak and stopper missing in sink. All were attentive it was just an inconvenient to change rooms to a lesser convenience. Breakfast was fantastic! Location was outstanding."

"A lovely hotel, beautifully converted in a traditional building. Our room had an interesting street -scene mural on one wall, which added to the historical touches within the building. An extensive breakfast set us up for sightseeing each day, plenty of choices including local options. We couldn't fault it in any way. The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. One lady went above and beyond when helping us with a question about bus tickets to get to the railway station - she volunteered to buy the tickets for us and leave them with a colleague on reception so we could collect them when checking out. This was a lovely gesture and much appreciated - she said she didn't want payment, but we left the money at reception the next day. Many thanks for a memorable stay in this beautiful town."

"This is one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The only issue is no lift to that floor but the desk clerk was very willing to help with our bags. The room was very comfortable, cool to my standards(being an American) and the village of Torun is absolutely charming. I throughly enjoyed my visit there and intend to return to both the village and hotel."

"The location can’t be beat. The property is very unique and in excellent condition. Our only negative comments are that there is no mention online of the lack of a lift. Our room was on the 4th floor so hauling our suitcases up 4 flights of a small winding staircase was a challenge. Also the lighting in the attic room was very dim."
