Aloha! Come bring your ohana (family) and friends to sit on our beautiful wrap around patio at our beautiful Pu'uhonua (place of refuge) with breathtaking tropical views. The great room and kitchen are the heart of Pu'uhonua located on the 2nd floor featuring wrap around windows making it feel like you are experiencing the outside from within. This arrangement allows guests the option of making meals at home while still enjoying every part of Kauai's beauty. The amazingly grand lanai allows for outdoor dining under the stars providing a large gathering area, but Pu'uhonua also offers the privacy of three bedrooms (1 upstairs and 2 downstairs) each having their own complete bathroom and private tranquil lanai. Each room has its own ceiling fan for additional comfort with the cool tropical trade wind breeze. For those of you who need to stay in touch with the real world we offer free wireless internet service.

When you are on vacation it is all about location and our open air Pu'uhonua home sits in the lushly landscaped 70 acre Poipu Kai Resort conveniently located between Shipwrecks Beach and Poipu
Beach. Poipu Beach has been rated as one of the top ten beaches in North America featuring a peaceful 'baby beach' for keiki (child) to play in the sun, while still staying cool. If you are interested in snorkeling, then Poipu beach can offer you a variable paradise of beautiful and exotic tropical fish. If you are more of a boogie boarding thrill seeker then Shipwrecks Beach is the place for you with some of the best surf on the island. The best part about all of this is that these beaches are simply a 15 minute walk on the green belt of Poipu Kai and we will provide everything you will need to enjoy a day at the beach including snorkel gear, boogie boards, umbrellas, coolers, beach chairs, mats, and beach towels!!!

If you need a break from the beach, this rental is also apart of the Poipu Kai Resort Complex allowing access to numerous amenities including resort pool, jacuzzi, and multiple tennis courts. If you are interested in taking a swing at Kauai's most prestigious golf courses than you need to look no further than Poipu. Our rental is down the road to the Poipu Bay Golf course, which is home to the illustrious PGA Grand Slam.

Historic Koloa Town, Poipu Shopping Center, and Kukui'ula Village Shopping Center are about 3 miles away from the rental offering a mixture of amazing restaurants (Keoki's and Roy's are amazing), unique shops, and convenient grocery stores. Poipu is ideally located on the sunny south side of the island with equal traveling distance between the lushly vibrant North Shore and the scenic 'West Side' with it's breathtaking Waimea Canyon (The Grand Canyon of the Pacific) and the spectacular shear cliffs of the Na Pali Coast all seen from Koke'e State Park.

This home is incredible. It's beautiful, spacious, is in a perfect location to walk to the beach, and everything is well stocked and planned out inside. Can't wait to come back!

We were a group of scuba divers who need lots of space to rinse, hang and dry our scuba gear. The house was wonderful for this purpose. In particular, there is a large deck area for drying equipment. This is an older home, yet was very clean and well equiped for our group. We did not have any issues during our stay so interaction with the property manager was limited. We were grateful to be allowed access to the garage which is where the washer / dryer are located. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable, AC and fans were very effective. We would definately stay at this home again.

Our time at this house was so so amazing! I have three kids ages 12,14,24 this house was so perfect for us literally could not have been better! Each of us had so much privacy we all were able to feel so at home! My oldest had the room with the queen bed and he was surprised the first use of the bathroom with a spray in the face we all died laughing there is a bidet so be warned but we all had a good laugh! We loved the location we would all walk barefoot to the beach at sunset to literally swim with the sea turtles. While we watched the sunset! Our time was so magical and I don’t think it could have been better!

Our family friend group travel to places to dive and we found this house to be perfect for our group! Pictures are accurate, lots of communal and private areas and perfect location. It was so easy and pleasant to get around. We'd come back in a heartbeat! Oh, and the host wasr responsive and accommodating!

This house felt like our home! A great place to start off our day with a big hearty breakfast, and be able to come home at the end of our day exploring the island and make a delicious dinner in a short amount of time. The amenities were great and we had everything we needed - well stocked kitchen tools and dishes/cookware for cooking. Comfortable living and sleeping areas. Great location with a short walk to multiple beaches in the area. Enjoyed the use of the pool and hot tub not too far walking distance away.

The home is a charming 3 bedroom, with a large living room and kitchen. The kitchen was very well equipped. Great for a group of friends or family. The owner is very good about communicating with you and we were lucky enough to go in earlier than the stated time. The area is quiet. There is a great pool for guests, with a good sized jacuzzi. They also have a good number of tennis courts. Overall, a great place to enjoy your vacation!

This is a very nice home to stay in. The beds were very comfortable, the living area very spacious and the owners provided pretty much everything you would need for a vacation. We appreciated that they had several beach chairs, snorkeling equipment and beach towels. The place is very high tech with power curtains and fans operated by remote. We loved the location of the house as it was near Poipu Beach and a short drive to many local sights. Overall we were very pleased. The home has some age to it but that certainly isn’t a deterrent to our potentially returning there. Inlay

Great location and property. Only reason this isn’t a 5 star is that ALL of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty with baked on food and other junk. Had to soak and rewash all glasses, cups, and plates before we could use.

Four older family members stayed for a week. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. Large well equipped kitchen and rec room. Many amenities provided including any beach equipment you could want. Walking distance to the beach. It is airy with lots of large windows and sliding doors and an upstairs wrap around porch. Access to a pool and Jacuzzi. I highly recommend. Our only complaint was the floors were not mopped and it could use some dusting. Otherwise an ideal property. Thanks to our hosts.

The check-in process was so easy!! Communication back and forth with the owner was effortless. If I had a question, Heddy responded promptly without hesitation. Once we were checked in, we enjoyed getting to know more about the home and the area and island in a collection of notes and literature kept on the coffee table. We were over 5,000 miles away from home, yet we had the comforts of home. The kitchen had quite a few staples in terms of basic oils and seasonings and any kind of cookware or dishes you may need. I loved that we could have the convenience of cooking some meals at home. One of my favorite things about the home was how each bedroom had its own little private lanai. Everyone had their own space to get away from the group if needed or to read one of the many novels and books throughout the home. Our family also appreciated the on site laundry facilities and having access to numerous snorkel gear sets and boogie boards and beach chairs. Nothing beats the Poipu beaches. We were on the island for a family wedding and the location offered activities and things to do for a variety of age groups. We loved our stay and would love to come back here in the future!

We loved the location and our favorite Poipu Beach is within walking distance. The house does not have AC but there were adequate fans available. House was roomy. Could use updating and is in need of some repair. TV in living room and master bedroom did not work. We washed some clothes on cold but they were hot when I took them out so some of our clothes shrunk. The price was right so it was fine because we weren't there too much anyways. There was a pretty bad smell in the garage that we never could figure out. Had to park in drive because suv would not fit. It had everything we needed though and the owner was quick to respond so that made it a pretty nice stay.
