The hotel is over all good but the things can be better. The menu in the restaurant is limited. It doesn't serve stuffed Parathas, almond and wall nut in breakfast. It doesn't show any business channel on TV. Staff is good and caring at all touch points.
The hotel staff was unfriendly. It took me two hours to get from the airport to the hotel, after I had arranged a car to pick me up the day before I checked in! The room smelled faintly of stale cigarettes even after I requested a non-smoking room. I was meeting some friends at another hotel and requested a car. The car had no a/c and smelled like the inside of an ashtray! I will NOT return to the Pride in Kolkata for any reason. For 4 USD more I got better treatment at another hotel in Kolkata and that happened BEFORE I ARRIVED!

Disorganised Service Overshadow a Spacious Stay
The hotel had several issues that affected our stay. The Wi-Fi was limited to three devices, which was inconvenient for two people working. Although the hotel later resolved this, it initially caused delays. A major concern was housekeeping staff ringing the doorbell persistently at 4 AM without a valid reason, which was disturbing and felt unsettling. There were also electricity fluctuations in the morning, posing a risk to sensitive devices. Service was disorganised, with frequent miscommunication between departments. On the positive side, the room was spacious and eco-friendly with herbal products. However, amenities were limited, and we had to repeatedly call for basic necessities. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and the hospitality needs improvement considering the price charged.
Good location in New Town area, near to some shopping malls, and The Bangla Arch, will help once metro has been completed.
Room was ok, gym also good. Restaurant service was a bit slow.
Had an issue with mini bar at checkout. A good idea would be to stock up mini bar if requested at check in. Have had this option at other hotels and avoids any confusion.
It was a nice place ,staff was good, the place is embellished with bright light and luxurious seats with drapes all over the wall. The ambience makes u fell at home with a touch of luxury attached to it
Horrible experiences. At the time of check-in staff at the reception didn’t find my booking even after showing him confirmation email and booking reference no. He said that there is no such booking site called “Hotel.com”. After much conversation he managed to find my booking after 30 to 40 minutes but he charged me Rs 2K more than what was indicated at the time of booking to allow me to check in. He mentioned that the additional Rs2K is due to taxes. Room service was also extremely slow.
Surprisingly the same guy was there at the time of checking out. He refunded Rs 2K as he made the mistake but he took more than an hour to settle it. Really front desk manned by unprofessional staff.
Nice Hotel, Close to Airport and Big Shopping Malls
Late night staffs at reception and the duty manager were incompetent. They could not find the information that I paid full bill using a online system. They asked me to pay again or contact the online system. It was highly embarrassing for me. I showed them all paid bills but they did not agree to accept those and was enforcing me to pay again. Then I had to shout and misbehaved with them. Then they let me check in and decided to check the matter next morning. Those staffs were disgusting. Other than this everything was fine. They same boring menu for breakfast everyday.
I had a comfortable stay. The Hotel is well maintained. The room is spacious. The staff is courteous and efficient. Not had dinner or Lunch so cant comment on food.
For a five star rated hotel, you do not get much besides a room. 1-Star level amenities in bathroom, gym open only from 10:00a.m. to 8:00p.m., only one restaurant available and opens only at 7:30p.m., Room service menu has shockingly few options for anyone desiring to eat an earlier meal, front desk refuses to assist in getting a taxi but very happy to arrange only the hotel's vehicle at three times the fare for a local taxi. Conference going on and participants have to have tea break out in the hallway where other guests must push through to get to rooms. Very unsatisfactory.

Not worth it..!
There is nothing wrong with the hotel technically, but there is no stand-out plus point either. And at their prices, there are better options available. The fit and finish of the rooms, common areas, bar - and even of their staff fall short of the star hotel they are trying to be. So if the location suits you and have just a short trip to make, you could consider it. If you have no other choice.
