Absolutely lovely. By the seaside, in the center of town, walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants.
Historic rooms and great historic sitting rooms and verandas.

Liked: Cleanliness
Room was very clean, staff courteous. Only problem was that room Breekopt was located towards the front, main road and it was extremely noisy throughout the night, also because it was the last week of December and the crowds were huge. Otherwise theres no complaint about the hotel
We really liked the hotel. Very polite, friendly and nice staff. The room had a historic charm. The hotel has a central location, near restaurants and attractions. The Water Metro and the ferry to Cochin is very close to the hotel. The swimming pool in the backyard is excellent because it provides a great way to relax after a busy day in Cochin.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. All toiletries were provided in the bathroom. The best part was the indoor common areas with antique furniture and shows the history of the 17th century building.
The only downside is that the outside of the building looks rundown and can use a make over.
This was undoubtedly the best place we've stayed in Kerala. A quaint 17th century colonial house converted into a boutique hotel and very well maintained. Spacious bedroom with all the amenities. Check in and check out was very smooth thanks to the ladies Nimisha and Shabana.
All the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Lovely secluded swimming pool. One can have breakfast next to it.
Excellent breakfast choices. Fresh to order various egg options and dosas.
A nice location at the edge of Fort Kochi, away from the crowds, near the water. Still very walkable to restaurants, shopping and other local attractions.
We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return one day!
Renovated Portuguese-era building. Immaculate condition, while being faithful to its historic roots. A/C worked perfectly . Shower great. Beds super comfortable. Staff was attentive and hospitable. The hotel/ inn is 1 min from the Chinese fishing nets & is perfectly placed for nice shops and a handful of restaurants.
Of the 6 properties in which I stayed on a 2-wk trip, this was easily my favorite.
For visitors flying into COK airport, be aware that with standard traffic it’s 75-90 minutes to the property. (If you transit overnight, it’s more like 45 minutes.)
We enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We had delicious breakfasts with vegan options. The dining room was cozy and had a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is conveniently located for walking tours of the area. The staff were friendly, excellent and accommodating.

The front desk staff (Aroon) was very helpful and attentive. The hotel room itself was fine - good bed, clean sheets, good lighting.
However, the property is tired and needs a lot of attention. The hotel is in a very busy area, which is one of its appeals and some noise is unavoidable. However, the common areas (which cover extensive space) are poorly maintained and do not offer the respite from the busyness outside that is very much possible with some thoughtful improvements. The swimming pool area is nice but suffers from the same issues and there was no staff on hand to help (walked all the way to front desk to order a snack).
Overall, reasonably priced property with a decent room but certainly not a place where we wanted to spend much time.
As weary travelers on our first stop in India we were welcomed in and so impressed with the beauty and size of our room. The historic building was a treasure to relax and unwind in. I felt like royalty in our palatial room with its most comfortable bed. The location was perfect to walk the waterfront (Chinese fishing nets right there), explore Fort Kochi, food and shopping, historic places, tour guides, tuk tuk rides, all conveniently a few steps away. I loved watching the scene below from our upstairs room windows. The restaurant had a delicious relaxing breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Our best hotel experience in our India travels.
There’s no doubt this is a beautiful historical old hotel, rooms are comfortable and have lots of original features! Good aircon and comfortable beds. However it does need a little love and attention- could definitely do with a bit of renovation (there were some works going on whilst we were there) nothing major and it didn’t inconvenience us at all) so maybe in a few months improvements will show. The pool area was lovely but again a bit scruffy and run down and the water was murky. Overall we enjoyed our stay though, the location is amazing you are right in the centre of Fort Kochi - good value for money just needs some attention and it would be great!
I booked this property because of "Neemrana" brand, expecting old world charm "experience" with every room being exquisitely designed. The room (Menezes) I was assigned was "OUTSIDE" the main hotel, literally almost at the road with traffic noise, with window not usable. There was no character to the room. The overall experience was like staying in a motel, not in a "Neemrana" branded hotel. I am very disappointed in Neemrana brand.
Tout était parfait à l exception du bruit.. En effet, la chambre étant sous l escalier deservant l étage et l insonorisation étant plus que moyenne, la chambre du rez-de-chaussée est donc assez bruyante.
This is a true heritage hotel. It may not have all the five star amenities such as television and fridge but its authenticity as one of Fort Kochi's most beautiful historic buildings, exceptionally located on the harbour, more than makes up for this. Inside it is a haven of serenity. A lovely pool and area overlooking it where I enjoyed breakfast, a mix of traditional Keralan and Western dishes. Each room is different and furnished with loads of stylish character in keeping with The Tower House's rich heritage. The staff are gracious and always there to help. This is my second stay here and I will come again. Definitely. Thank you.
