"Super room, super food downstairs, what is there not to like "

"A lovely old world pub, the highest in Britain. Lovely ambience, cosy bar areas and nice rooms. Just a few scruffy areas like the carpet going up to the accommodation and the ceiling and floor of the bathroom sliding door area. However it is understandable with being a busy pub with people with work boots and walking boots constantly in and out. The food was good, with lots of choice and well cooked. We had a slight blip checking in but it was sorted out quickly and efficiently. Overall a lovely stay in an iconic pub with a great atmosphere."

"When i returned home, i noticed that the amount that had been taken from my bank account was more than the itemised invoice. I challenged this but was told there was nothing they can do about it. It looked as though someone had been charging drinks to my room. Very disappointed. I won't be returning. "

"A quaint hotel in the middle of nowhere. Good room, friendly staff and a reasonable breakfast. Dinner was excellent. "

"Staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean ,tidy and lovely and warm. Had a lovely view of the castle and shops were handy. Was easy to find and so handy for the A66 to the lakes. Will definitely visit again. "
