「Overall the property is nice and close to the beach but not on the beach. Just a short walk through Hurricane Moe’s parking lot.
The hotel is updated and very clean. The pictures of the pool are misleading. The pool is not very big.
The housekeeping crew was great!
Breakfast was good with hot and cold options.
Overall a great price for the hotel. Hard to stay in a hotel without a kitchen, but great for a shorter stay. 」

「Can’t wait to return. Homey and comfortable. Our host was absolutely fabulous and was extremely interesting. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and just being helpful. It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly. 」

「We loved our stay at the Blue Heron Motel. Right on the beach, close to everything that you would need. It is not a new, fancy hotel (which is what we wanted). It was clean and larger than expected. The only thing I would suggest is to put some curtains on the window in case guests wanted to sleep in. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!」
「staff was wonderful. I couldn't believe they cleaned my room. I didn't think motels did that anymore. Sheet and towels looked new and so white. Breakfast attendant was always washing tables and resuppling food trays. Nice to be so close to the beach. Pool was clean and well maintained. Great couple of days staying here. Great job.」
