This meticulously crafted 2432 sq ft home is nestled in the heart of Duck, offering unparalleled access to all the amenities you could desire. As a resident of Schooners Ridge, you'll have exclusive access to a private tennis club, complete with indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, racquetball, playground, and workout facilities, ensuring endless entertainment for you and your guests.

This newly renovated home, completed in 2022, boasts 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 full/2 half baths, providing ample space for relaxation and rejuvenation. With partial ocean views from the window-filled loft, you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings...or kick off the day with a soak in the private hot tub on the deck. The new outdoor space (750SF) has a lounge (with bar, fridge, and TV), games, grilling area, fenced in picnic area, and 1/2 bath allow for additional enjoyment of beach breezes and outdoor living. The outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach, which is only a short walk away, taking less than 5 minutes to reach the pristine shores of Duck.

Stroll to the heart of downtown Duck for live music, local chefs, and charming shops, or take a leisurely walk along the picturesque boardwalk that stretches the length of town, providing stunning sunset views.

Check-in Day: Saturday to Saturday (In-Season, 7 day minimum) Off-Season 3 day min. & can check-in can be on any day as long as availability. Please message me with the date of check-in and how many days.

You may bring your own linens (sheets & towels; please let us know before booking so the fee may be removed before checkout) or you may purchase the linen package for $150 (White, Fresh and Fluffy Cotton Linens & Towels). Beach towels are not included in the linen package.

About the remodel:
Completed in May 2022, this remodel has transformed the home into a modern and stylish retreat. The kitchen has been fully updated with new stainless steel appliances, including a fridge, oven with air fryer/stove, and microwave, along with sleek granite countertops and refaced cabinetry featuring soft close drawers and hinges for added convenience. Fresh interior paint has been applied to walls and trim, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere throughout. The addition of luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring and beautiful oak hardwood steps add a touch of elegance to the space. A new bar in the loft area, complete with a mini fridge, provides the perfect spot for entertaining or enjoying a quiet evening in. The new stone fireplace adds a cozy ambiance, perfect for chilly evenings with an electric fireplace/heater. All new lighting and fan fixtures illuminate the home with style and functionality. Additional updates include new storage and hangout space under the home, as well as an updated outdoor shower, providing convenience and comfort for outdoor living.

The location of this house is pretty perfect for walks or golf cart rides into Duck. The downstairs Tiki bar area was a fun spot for our family to Happy Hour and play games at night. I didn’t think we would use it that much but we were down there every night! Plenty of space in the house. Beds were comfy. Tons of beach items for our use. We really loved this house!

Perfect Beach Getaway for Families!

We had an amazing stay at Topped Off Duck! The house was extremely clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun vacation. The layout was perfect for two families, with plenty of space to spread out and great common areas to relax and hang out together.The owners were fantastic—very responsive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We loved the location in Schooner Ridge, with access to great neighborhood amenities like the community pool, gym, and easy beach access. The beach itself was beautiful and just a short walk or bike ride away. We enjoyed biking into the town of Duck daily. We also rented a 6 person golf cart to help with beach gear and to drive up and down Duck to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-maintained, and family-friendly spot in Duck.

The home was beautiful , everything we needed was there. Excellent outdoor space! The gates were wonderful , kept the grandkids safe! Having drip coffee and Keurig worked out well . Loved this house and would definitely come back again. The location of the house is perfect, though our children definitely preferred riding their bikes to the beach rather than the walk. The layout of the house was fantastic for our family and we loved all the outside areas. Eating dinner outside on the deck in the shade was perfect. The beds were fairly comfortable and the house was clean for the most part. The floors could have used a scrubbing, but I appreciated everything else being very clean. The owner was a pleasure to work with. We were so very happy here for our week and will definitely be returning!

Excellent stay

Loved the house and location. Property Mgr was very responsive when I had questions. Nice that the house was so close to the community center pools and tennis courts; they should update their game room and playground - especially their swings.

Beautiful Home in Duck

Great Location

We had a great stay with family at the house. The location was perfect - a quick walk to either a beach or town, and we loved being close to the clubhouse for some pool time. The size and set up of the house was perfect for our extended family - everyone had space to be comfortable, but also congregate as a family.

Awesome Extended Family Reunion Site

We loved our special family reunion here celebrating our parents' anniversary and mom's milestone birthday. This was the PERFECT house to provide us with easy beach access, pool access (but not at the house so didn't have to worry about small children escaping and falling in), and Duck boardwalk access. We rented bicycles and spent the whole week just in Duck doing the shops, swimming, and beach stuff. Lots of space for hanging out, and our kids especially loved the covered outdoor hangout room w/ games and a tv & couch.

Fantastic house!

Great house. Very clean and well maintained. There was an awesome “outdoor living room” (as our kids called it) — a covered outdoor area with sectional couch, bar, and TV. And the third floor deck with picnic table etc was facing away from the sun in the evenings, so perfect for shady breezy dinners. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and so on. Owner was very helpful and communicative. The community has two outdoor pools and one indoor pool. You see the same families at the beach each day since it’s a private beach for the community, which makes it easy for kids to make friends. This house is a solid (and sunny) 8-minute walk to the beach, but there is a wagon at the house which makes the walk easier. And you are super close to so many shops and restaurants, and the Duck boardwalk which is lovely. All around a great house!

Great house in Schooner Ridge!

My family loves vacationing in this neighborhood and Heather's house was just what we needed for a relaxing week away! The house is steps from the community center with an indoor/outdoor pool, playground and tennis courts. It's an easy walk to the private beach access and outdoor pool. They provide a wagon to get all of your gear to the beach or there is parking for neighborhood use only. Easy walk to food and shopping. Heather was also so gracious with my husband and me when we locked ourselves out despite the easy instructions for access to the house! Thanks for a great trip, Heather!

A fabulous home for our Duck vacation!

We LOVED Duck and 186 Schooner's Ridge was perfect for our family of 10. Grandkiddos camped out in bedroom w/ double bunks and queen bed. All 3 sets of adults had queen or king beds. The kitchen was fabulous and fully stocked. The table seated 10 and family room was large. We loved the hot tub and outdoor game room w/ picnic table and grill. The pictures are perfect. This home was clean with comfortable furnishing and close to the beach, boardwalk, and Duck donuts! We'd love to come back.

Summer Family beach vacation

A great accommodation in Duck, NC. Right near the pool for the little ones, not a long walk to the beach. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The owners were very responsive to the few concerns we had. I highly recommend this VRBO!

Amazing amenities and location

We’ve stayed at Duck before and knew this location was central to all we wanted but we did not know just how much comes with the house. The pools were amazing, especially the ocean side pool. The tennis courts were great, we also checked out ping ping and ice hockey in the community center game room. And then there is all the beach equipment you could need including 4 extra bikes to get around town and a beach wagon. We brought too much! Such a great property.

Totally Topped Off All the Way!

Honestly the house was even better than the pictures depicted online!!! Clean, well decorated, comfy beds and cool layout. Perfect for our small group and gave us plenty of space but allowed for happy hour and some fun hang out time as well. Location near the rec building for gym and late afternoon chill at the pool was ideal. We walked more on this vacation than any other except for our trip to Italy! We absolutely loved the proximity to the shops and restaurants in town. So much to choose from and all dinners out were amazing. NC Coast was the best, then Blue Point, then Aqua, Coastal Cravings, and Village Tavern in that order in terms of deliciousness. Sunsets off the boardwalk were gorgeous and there were lots of places to sit outside, listen to live music and eat ice cream. Shopping, coffee, sweets, açaí bowls and smoothies galore. We also did the safari tour of the wild horses and saw a record 33 horses! Rented jet skis one day as well! Loved Duck so so much and Topped Off was the ideal rental home that we would most definitely return to and recommend!! Thank you, Heather!

Love this house!

We stayed with couple of families that we enjoy vacationing with. Location was great for a quick walk into town or the beach. The downstairs lounge area with games was the biggest hit! We loved it and spend a lot of time there. And the community center was a 1 minute walk, very convenient. Would recommend!

Beautiful ocean destination

This was our family's and extended family's first visit to Duck and to the Outer Banks. We can't say enough good things about the home and location! Our group of 10 fit very comfortably in this home. The home is spacious, very clean, very nicely decorated, comfortable and had truly everything needed (from beach toys to kitchen accessories) to have an enjoyable stay. The home is situated in a community that offers amenities such as pools, a gym and beach-all of which we could walk to. The home is also walking distance from the downtown. The beach and downtown in Duck were the highlights of this trip for us. Everyone in our group (all ages spanning from early childhood, to teens, young adults and adults) had something to do and enjoy. Last, but certainly not least the host Heather is extremely attentive and helpful. She provided a lot of helpful information and was available if we needed any assistance. I would highly recommend this vacation home.

It was a beautiful home with a variety of things to do . The kitchen was so well prepared for cooking at home and everything was extremely clean. It was nice to have access to beach chairs, a nice grill, beach games and home games. The location is walking distance to shops and the board walk. We had a wonderful time. Owners were responsive and helpful.

Fabulous Family Vacation

We enjoyed the property and the sweet, responsive owners so much! The location was superb! The kids loved the proximity to the beach and the adults loved the space fire everyone! We are a family of 12 and this property was great for grandparents, parents, teens, and toddlers!!! The home was absolutely perfect!! Very clean, decorated beautifully, and furnished with everything anyone could need! Definitely recommend this home for any large family seeking a relaxing vacation!!
