The house was fabulous! All 14 family members had a terrific stay. Very well stocked with dishes and decent cookware. We have no complaints. If we could change anything we would swap one of the 2 dishwashers for an extra oven/stove but we took turns cooking and realize most people eat out on vacation. We will definitely book through Shoreline OBX on our next trip!

Family Reunion

Property location is excellent. Some of the furnishings are older and could be replaced, but are serviceable. The pool person left a note that she had to interrupt her service and would return to complete work shortly. That was Saturday. We called and left a message without response. On Tuesday, we contacted VRBO and by Wednesday the pool had been cleaned and prepared for use. Still, this was one of the better homes we rented at the Outer Banks.

Amazing vacation home!

This was the most perfect home we could have asked for during our vacation to the Outer Banks. We traveled with 4 families, 15 of us total (8 adults and 7 kids). Everything about the house accommodated our group perfectly. The kitchen/dining area fit everyone comfortably for meals, and the 8 adults could all sit on the couches in the living room to watch TV with plenty of space. The kids had their own space downstairs with a kitchenette, full fridge, TV, and foosball table. The kitchen has every dish and cooking utensil you could possibly need, including a crock pot. There are plenty of dishes and silverware for large groups, and having 2 dishwashers made clean up easy at the end of each meal. The house was incredibly clean and very comfortable with central air. We used the pool and hot tub every day, it was nice that some floats and pool noodles were provided for our use. There are also 9 beach chairs and some boogie boards for guests to use. The beach is not too far from the house, but it was very hot and humid which made it an uncomfortable walk. If you’re able, I would highly recommend renting a golf cart and/or using a rental company that will set up umbrellas and chairs for you on the beach each day. There are 2 bikes at the house, which are a great option for riding in to town. I would 100% stay here again!

Nice property,

This is a nice property. No significant problems. It was well maintained and clean. A few things that could help. 1) more towels 2) driveway is awkward. It needs to be twice as wide at the street level. It’s a massive house and more parking is needed for the modern family. 3) Trash cans need to be periodically cleaned. They smelled worse than usual and there were innumerable fly maggots

Family Getaway

This place was perfect and like the description and pictures posted! We ran into a little problem with one of the ac units not working and the owner was so apolgetic and quick to get us window units to help until the problem was remedied. Overall we all loved this place, the location and all the details the owners have thought of to make your stay perfect. Book this place, you won't regret it!

Enjoyed well equipped kitchen, private pool And hot tub, plentiful barhs and porches. House is in neighborhood of similar houses and has no view of water just other houses. The town of Duck is a 15 min walk, beach is 10 min walk but you drove your car closer.

No denying Jewel of Denial

This beautiful home in Duck was part of an exclusive Four Seasons Lane community. There was an entrance gate, and community center at our disposal. You could walk, bike, stroller walk knowing the speed limit was only 15mph. The home was spacious with 8 bedrooms and 81/2 baths. The powder room off the kitchen was helpful due to the fact this was the main living space. The second floor had most of the bedrooms with only 1 not having a private bath. Downstairs on the very first level were two bunk rooms which can serve children nicely, or adults. Off the extra living room downstairs was a slider door to the beautiful good size pool and hot tub. Our family loved the option of going to the beach which was accessible by shuttle, walking or in our case we rented a golf cart; and then coming back for a swim. There is a playground within this neighborhood and as mentioned before the rec center has an indoor pool and basketball hoops and gym equipment. We had plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans to cook with and also two refrigerators. The extra kitchenette was also on the bottom floor which was helpful for extra space necessary with the large family. All amenities were met, washer dryer was essential as well as 2 coffee pots! The house provided 6 beach chairs. Knowing this helped with those of us who drove vs those that flew. We were very pleased with “ our home away from home”! It was very clean and decorated so nice! We were very happy staying here. Thank you.

Family Time at Duck 14

We were looking for a place for a week's stay where we could all be together with our extended family of 17. Jewel of Denial in Duck was just perfect! Plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms, a large dining/family room where all of us could watch TV, eat meals, and play games. The unit was much better equipped than we were led to believe with several beach chairs, 2 bikes, a wonderful pool and hot tub. We rented a golf cart and would recommend that even though the beach and downtown were both less than a half mile away.

Only disappointment was the weather

We were a group of 13, four couples and four of our college aged kids. The house was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the pool was lovely and the location was excellent. We all loved the amenities available in the Four Seasons neighborhood.

Fun, relaxing late summer stay

My family of 10 adults (5 couples) and 6 grandchildren under 4 stayed the week in late summer (mid-Sep) and totally loved this house. It was plenty spacious and well plussed in many ways. The pool and hot tub was well cared for and cleaned for us upon arrival and midweek. The pool light wasn’t working (not unusual, I have found) but the area around the pool was well lit for evening times relaxing at the pool and hot tub. The open design of kitchen and dining area with large table was perfect for our family with the many meals we did in. The location ti community center and ocean was really nice. It was just far enough to keep most of the sand outside the house, especially perfect for the golf carts we rented. I recommend this to any family of our size, given the good number if king size beds and bathrooms.

Great house in a great location

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this house. It was very clean, spacious, and beautiful. It was a short walk to the beach and if you preferred not to walk you could ask for a free parking permit or take the trolley. In addition to our own private pool, there was an outside and inside pool. The house does have a lot of steps but it wasn't a problem for our family. The only slight problem was a dryer that didn't work very well. You needed to run even small loads through at least twice. Other than that I would highly recommend this house.

Our stay was a very pleasant stay. The kitchen had everything you might need. We love the community of Duck, NC and the little development of the Four Seasons. We had access to the pools and easy access to the beach. Our hope is to come back as soon as possible.

Too many stairs not enough towels

No dish towels or bath mats. 1 sandpaper towel per person. Stairs wee curved dark carpet hard for those with mobility issues. Dryer broke, immediate response but COULD NOT. Fix. A bit dated decor but lovely setting and community. Good for a large group.

Annual family vacation

The whole family- kids, spouses, grandchildren - enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for all 13 of us! Everything is close. House is well stocked. A gas grill would be nice. We rented one. Get down to the beach early to claim your spot as fills up quickly. Great place overall!

A great family vacation!

We crammed in 10 adults and 8 children and everyone fit easily. The house was great for this family get together. Plenty of yard for corn hole. Loved all the chairs and beach stuff that was there for us to use. The location is a bit of a walk to the beach, but not too bad, and the shuttle came in handy the couple of times that we didn’t want to walk. Overall a very positive experience and highly recommended.
