「This was our second stay at the cottage & it fits our needs very well. We are hoping to return on a regular basis, as it’s perfect for our needs.
However, I do think there is room for improvement - spruce things up a little. The property could do with a deep clean. The surface cleaning is fine, but the taps, carpets, chairs and cushions, for example, could do with a good clean to remove stains.
- The microwave is very old, as are a lot of the utensils and it would be a good idea to replace...

「Pros - great location, near pub and nice coffee shop. Short walk to beach.
Cons - not very clean on arrival, mould problem in bathroom, strong damp smell throughout property. Had planned to cook but found mould growing on wooden spoons and cobwebs on the pans - so ate out instead!
Having read through the comments in the visitor book we could see these issues had been raised several times, so it’s disappointing they haven’t been addressed. Would not stay again.」

「I needed a large house at Bognor Regis for a family reunion. This house ticked all the boxes. A clean house, spacious rooms. provided towels and toiletries and lots more. It was warm and comfortable. Loved the decor.My family we impressed and hope to visit again.I would recommend this excellent property. 」

「We had a lovely few days at The Boat House. Interesting, well converted property that was well equipped with beautiful views across the fields (deer occasionally wandered through). Very quiet and peaceful in the charming village of Itchenor -ideal for coastal walks locally or to other interesting places -The Witterings, Chichester etc. Buddy, our cockapoo enjoyed his stay too!

「The Smugglers Snug is, in many ways, a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect and the style/decor is lovely. The only downside is the comfort. The beds and sofas are feeling quite worn now and you can feel the springs digging in.」

「We have stayed at Old Lock Cottage a few times and every time it has been a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The cottage was recently renovated and decorated to a high standard.
Home from home.
There is parking for 3 cars. The Boathouse restaurant in the marina is only 5 minutes walk.
A great cottage and one we will be happy to return too.」
