To start off, our trip was originally intended to be for New Years 2022 but due to Covid, we had to cancel. The host was more than accommodating and allowed us to push the booking an entire year back for New Years 2023. That truly deserves praise.
The property is tucked away in a small neighborhood bordering Lake Texoma. It's almost out in the middle of nowhere, but still close enough to stores and restaurants to where you aren't completely alone. The property itself backs up to the lake with a small path to the shoreline. There's a lot of land surrounding the house for activities and games. Inside, there's a ton of room to accommodate 12+ people and the layout with 5 main bedrooms (plus a room of single beds) is fantastic for large groups/multiple families. The internet was stable, which is great considering the location. Direct TV in every room was awesome. The location, layout, setup, and hosts make this a 4 star property.
The only thing really preventing this from being a 5 star property was the condition of the small things. The fire pit was rusted through, the ping pong paddles were unplayable, the badmiton racquet was broken, the outdoor speakers and tv didn't work, etc. Those small items made the experience itself okay rather than great. All of those things seem easily fixable and I hope they do fix it because it's a great property and those things would make the overall experience fantastic.
