This cabin is very secluded and out in the woods but has easy access from the main highway. Neighbors own the acreage to south and west so take care to respect their privacy and not to hike too far.
This area does not have a lot of Uber’s or any taxis so you will want to have your own car. If you’re flying in you can rent a car in Traverse City for a reasonable rate, especially through Enterprise Rentals.
The 7-acre pond is shared with the house a block away. Not suitable for swimming but great for fishing from the dock with a bobber. Tackle box and poles are in the cabin. No hunting! House Rules:
DO NOT feed the ducks. Don’t leave food, trash or coolers outside. Leave trash on entry porch. NO bonfires when there is high fire risk warnings in the area. NO fireworks allowed. Children cannot be left unsupervised at this property, especially at the pond, dock, nearby tower deer blind or the cabin loft. Kayaks must be removed from pond and turned upside down when not in use. No trespassing on neighbors property to the south and west of the cabin. Please leave the cabin as you found it.
