"Outstanding stay we got married on the day and the staff went above and beyond in every element of our stay from the moment we arrived in until we left ,our only regret was that we only had 1 night stay before we headed away on honeymoon "
"An amazing weekend away with my partner, amazing room, comfortable bed, incredible views from our room, and we were able to have our pup with us too! The staff for so friendly, we even got cupcakes on our last day! We were unsure about getting food downstairs with some mixed reviews but we couldn’t recommend enough, cocktails were lovely and food was incredible. Super friendly staff in bar and restaurant too, brought us some water for dog, who was able to join us. We can’t wait to book again!
Note, it is very lively on weekends as stated but the hotel provide ear plugs, music goes on til about 3am so if you want quiet you may want to book during week days "
The Strand Hotel, the former residence of Oscar Wilde
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were very friendly, efficient and responsive. Our family room was large, bright and airy and nicely decorated, and the bathroom had nice ceramic tile work. Excellent location at end of the beautiful bray promenade. Too notch Indian food at the curry leaf was so good we ate there 2 of the 3 nights of our stay. Also had full Irish menu and great breakfast options."
"The room was so clean and the staff were wonderful everywhere we went! From the reception to dinner and the lounge! Absolutely will come back and stay here when I visit Ireland again!"
Charming Newly Renovated Barnhouse in the heart of Enniskerry
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous property and perfect location for our needs! We were attending a wedding at PowersCourt, and enjoyed being close to those grounds as well as Enniskerry & Bray. "
"The parking was free and located right by the resort and spa areas. The room was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated, the pillows were rather hard, though. There was no fridge or microwave in the room, as American guests might desire. There was a hot water boiler, two cups and one spoon, 2 bottles of still water, tea bags and instant coffee singles, and milk singles (during our visit to the area we could not find any coffee creamer in liquid or powdered form anywhere).
The area around the resort was pretty, rural with green hills and trees. You could hear the highway noise from the parking lot of the hotel, though. Access to the resort grounds from the highway was fast and easy.
To eat at the restaurant you had to make reservations, so we did not go. We did not use the spa, although it was included with our stay. We ate at the bar a few times, sitting in the winter garden looking out, and the food there was delicious! We only had breakfast in the designated breakfast room once and thought it was expensive for what was offered. But the view from the window was lovely.
The hotel staff was very nice and friendly :)
In summary, I would recommend the resort and spa for it's friendly staff, nice scenery, clean and cozy rooms, convenient access, and proximity to other interesting places to visit.
