I liked that the property was so close to the beach but there were dead beetles everywhere. There was mold in the bathroom and the room smelled so bad we had to lysol it once a day.

Well where to began . I booked a hotel for 7/4 to 7/6 2025 when we got there the hotel had been closed since June 12 was a complete construction zone . Expedia was sending me messages all the way up to that day ans ask how my check in was and I never got to check in . Now have to file for refund cause thy charged my credit card . Then spent 2 1/2 hrs searching for hotel room that takes pets ans had to pay 700 a night . Ans there is no phone number to contact Expedia or the Hotel …. So who is getting my $ 555.00

Dog poop, empty beer bottles and cigarette butts on stairs and sidewalk. The bathroom sink was stopped up and and the commode flushed very, very slowly. The smell of marijuana was everywhere around the hotel.

This place is a dive no questions asked. However we excepted it for what it was. Great showers and comfortable beds! But the overall asthetic of the place, it is falling apart. We were in a room on the ocean front, the door to the balcony was falling apart, with an old rusted door chain and the actual lock on the door not working. The door entering the room had a gap you could see through, and sometimes the room key worked. Since all we did was sleep there, it was okay. However I would not recommend if you want a “family vacation experience “ If you want a warm shower and a comfortable bed, it wasn’t bad.

I booked 6/6-6/7/25 and received confirmation. After driving ~360 miles and arriving at the property to check-in, I was informed that they were closed with no further assistance from the property. I chatted with Expedia and they offered an account credit to use toward another booking. Luckily I was able to book a similar property not to far away for the same time frame. I don't understand how things like this happen. This could have been disastrous, but thankfully everything worked out in the end.

It’s cheap for a reason

The room was semi renovated. The bathroom floor had cracks with mold and dirt buildup. The seems for the bathtub were also filled with mold. On the last night of our stay we found bed bugs. Needless to say we will not be back.

Too many people living out of the hotel. Trucks and trailers in the parking lot full of their possessions Drinking in the stairwells, smoking weed in the parking lot. Garbage and cigarette butts everywhere.

You get what you pay for. It's an older hotel. It's clean but everything was showing it's age. Baseboards were rusty. The finish on the tub was peeling. Ice machine was rusted and not working. But it's on the beach at a great price, so compromise

This was probably a really nice hotel at one time, however, it is really could use some renovations, which I think that might have been occurring. THe room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I had what was supposed to be an oceanfront room, however, I could barely see the ocean, so if you really can't see the ocean, you shouldn't be charged oceanfront rates. Breakfast was the bare minimum, maybe because it was the off season.

I paid for 4 nights at this dump and I didn’t even stay there. It was dirty and I swear people were outside doing drugs. Loud big barking dogs in rooms. The first room they gave me had some kind if leak coming from the room above it. Gave me another room that was just as bad. Didn’t feel safe staying there so I took myself and my kids and literally went next door to the days inn. Trying to get my money back has been a hassle. I understand that you get what you pay for but to have your place run like that and having people feeling unsafe is a very bad thing.

Great Inexpensive OBX Motel

Was originally given room very close to beach. There was ZERO lighting (possibly cuz of turtle nesting. I didn’t feel comfortable / safe. Hotel staff was more than willing to change my room. Walking distance with convenient walking path to the beach.
