Great beach view. Easy access to property on second floor, near elevator and parking. Loved 2nd floor vs being on ground floor for views. Close to pool, but not loud. Extra window on side, added lots of light to main room.

Great property, but there is almost no shade at the pool, which made relaxing there and reading difficult. The view from our porch was great. Unfortunately, our entry code did not work. It took maybe a half hour, from calling the 800 #, to getting in touch with the local contact, to reaching out to the Sugar Bay manager, before we could get a resolution. It was a stressful start.

Excellent Condo

Loved our stay. The 2nd floor oceanfront view was amazing!We have stayed at other Sugar Beach condos in the past;This is truly my favorite and would definitely stay in this when we come back in the future.

Relaxing stay

Beautiful location to relax! Centrally located to everything that we wanted to see. We loved spending time on the lanai each morning watching the waves roll in. So peaceful! We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful ocean view

Older property but well maintained. If you want direct ocean views, 214 is perfect. Close to the pool and beach access. Mattress was a little too soft for us, each time one of us got in our out of bed, we could sense it. Also, please disregard the word "resort" when considering this property. Otherwise you will be disappointed. Think of it as a lovely well cared for older property with fantastic ocean views. Also just down the road is a bakery and shaved ice!

Lovely home on the beach

This condo was perfect for my husband and me. We love the lanai and beautiful ocean view. The property was very clean, decor is lovely, and it was stocked with everything we needed (except a stopper for the kitchen sink, and a microwave cover). The bed is very comfortable.

A view of paradise

This is a great condo, with a perfect view of the ocean. Easy beach access and nice pool area. After 9pm it was quiet and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again. Bonus during whale season is to sit on the deck and watch the whales.

Vacation ideal

This property has a lovely location, beautiful beach and swim/hot tub. A few things we noted - not much in the way of glassware in the apartment. Plenty of giant plastic cups but if you’re staying to enjoy the scenery and want a cocktail it would be nice to have some nice glassware. Some of the window screens are ripped. Not really an issue for us since we had rain and didn’t sleep with the windows open but that seems like a pretty basic maintenance issue. Lastly the dryer vents into the shower (and the bathroom window is accordingly left open). But clearly the vent is filthy. Every time we did laundry we got lint balls in the shower.

New Favorite Condo

First time at Sugar Beach and it will most likely not be our last. We have visited Maui several times over the years and by far this stay was the most enjoyable. Our unit could not have been better located on the property. One level up, corner unit with an exceptional oceanfront view with an added view of the pool from the dining area window. You may want to close your blinds during the morning massage sessions. The unit shows well, was clean upon arrival and everything worked. Bedroom ceiling fan was a plus. The unit could have used a few extra kitchen supplies, but overall functional. The swimmable beach and the sound of the waves breaking right outside were the best. Great location and close to everything.

Beautiful condo!

This is a beautiful condo and location. It was near restaurants and the beach was easily accessible. The view from the balcony was incredible. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat! Strongly recommend.

Quiet & Relaxing Venue

We found that our two week stay at this location to be quiet & relaxing. Everything from the nicely furnished unit, the picturesque view from the lanais facing the beach, to the well-groomed/maintained grounds & pool made for a wonderful vacation. Note that most dining establishments are 10-15 min away by car. Except for some minor maintenance issues, which we addressed separately, we found this condo to be the perfect relaxing get away & would recommend it to anyone.

We spent 10 days at Sugar Beach 214. Nothing could have been better. Beautiful condo in a lovely property. Amenities are awesome on property, beach front location, view and sounds are unparalleled. Everything we wanted was available. Sugar Beach resort is incredibly located in the middle of everything. Sugar Beach is beautiful and rarely busy. We saw turtles swimming just down the beach by the Pier. We ate at the on site resteraunt and enjoyed adult beverages at the lounge. We were assisted a lot at the on site rental store (got set up with snorkeling tour with absolutely no effort) and rented gear for the water right there. Beautiful pool and hot tub was a bonus. Wish I could rave more. We will return...and we won't look anywhere else!

right on the ocean!

We really liked the location; at the north end of Kihei away from the busy congested area; unit was clean and had full AC; bed was very comfortable. It is literally right on the water, not across the street from it so you hear the waves on the beach every night; Cant tell you how much we enjoyed our mornings and evenings sitting on the porch on second floor watching the waves come in; It is also a highly rated beach right in front of you! Would stay here again; unit is updated so dont worry about the exterior of the building which is older; nice little pool, lawn and bbq area too
