Great stay for our vacation!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful experience in Maui at the Luana Kai. Fun fact. We were there for the July 29 tsunami. Thankfully is was small. But the folks at Hawaii Life keep in contact throughout the event. First cladding service

Right on the Beach in Kihei

This condo was a wonderful place for our family. It was spacious and the double lanai was a great gathering spot. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied and the resort was beautiful. We had a great week in Kihei.

Perfect location

Was a great location for Road to Hana, Haleakala, Lahaina and more. Property was very nice and quiet in the evenings and early mornings (outside of all the birds awakening first thing😊).

Great location!

Had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Quiet complex with wonderful beach just a short walk across the grassy property. Beach chairs, boogie boards & insulated cooler bags were much appreciated. Great location to easily visit all parts of this beautiful island. Would definitely stay again.

wish it was a better start

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: not happy with owner of unit. i entered the unit dirty, nothing cleaned and side window open with all the lights on. i worried someone was still in the unit. come to find out, the person vacated already but she didnt get the unit ready for my first day of rental. she did call for housekeeping and after 2.5 hours, it looked clean, but didnt feel like it was as clean when one isnt rushed. it could use some updating. communication with housekeeper from owner was poor. i left lots of food in the kitchen and when the housekeeper came she put it all in her car. i informed the owner and even left a huge note on a paper bag saying to leave food in refrigerator. kitchen drawers not smooth to open and close and counter top is a weird granite looking overlay so it felt sticky.

Great new AC in condo!

We've stayed in this condo before without AC and thought it was pretty comfortable, but now it has AC and it is even better! We will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in Luana Kai and had a great time in Maui.

Nice unit with enough space for 4 persons. The only missing thing was the hairdryer.

Very Nice !

The condo is well equiped with all the necessary beach accessories. A large cooler would have been usefull and plastic dishes to eat by the pool. The king beds were comfortable. The fans were very appreciated. We really enjoyed our family vacation.

Perfect for families

Loved our stay! Malinee was very quick to respond to all questions and everything was as indicated. The kitchen it older and some of the drawers were coing apart, could def use an upgrade. Beds were super comfy and the fans were appreciated! We were a family of 4 and appreciated the separate bathrooms as well. The grounds were lovely. We enjoyed our stay very much. Mahalo!

Overall it was great! Unit stocked with everything you need.

The property is lovely. The grounds are beautiful! Pool area is great! However, only one dislike - wish the unit would have been air conditioned! There were plenty of fans but the first week was almost unbearable-high humidity and temperatures - could not get comfortable!!

A great family stay.

This apartment was very clean and tidy and provided all we needed. It was in an excellent location in the resort and very quiet. Well thought out with all the little extras and beach equipment. Felt like there was plenty of room for the whole family. It is Maui so you do have to drive as the roads are not the best for walking. But everything is so close and handy, lots of great restaurants, coffee places and food markets. The beach walks are great and with lots to see. Everything felt very safe and we would happily recommend.

Maui Golf Trip

A friend and I came down to Maui for our annual Golf Trip. The condo looked even better in person! The lanai is in the shade and cool all day; the towels and linens were fresh and comfortable; location and parking was very easy. The pool and hot tub are very nice, along with the beach only steps away! Malinee was very friendly to talk to and was quick to answer all questions and make adjustments - as we added another day, shortly before our arrival. The process was smooth, easy and enjoyable. Cant wait to come back and stay here again!

Upon checkin, the place was not ready to stay. I had even reserved the condo for the day prior to arrival, so it should have been cleaned on that day incase i was able to fly in sooner. Instead when i open the front door, I thought people were still staying. Garbage not taken out, open food containers on the kitchen counter, all the lights were on, sliding door was wide open, towels were not in the washer. I immediately contacted the host and she got a housekeeper to come clean. So in about 2 and half hours it was ready for me. I still felt like it wasn't cleaned thouroughly. I told the host why wasnt this ready for the day prior? She apologized and then changednthe subject to ask about when i was checking out. At this point i just want to start my vacation. The place is as advertised. The counters aren't granite but like a sticky granite look laminate and drawers are a little wonky and and dont close evenly. Because of the quick turnover, the bed spreads on the beds were removed. I velieve the sheets were changed. Couch is not a pull out and quite unconfortable. Too much sinking in for my preference. All the kitchen basics are provided but no spices, oil or even salt and pepper. 4 chairs, a cooler and some boogie boards but one only had the safety strap. I did contact VRBO but i waited too late to call to received any compesation.I was staying for a special so i didnt expect anything back. I just wanted the host to acknowledge the issues. Perfect Location and Spacious Balcony

This rental was perfect for our trip to Maui. The 2 Bedrooms was great for the family, which included our 3 year old daughter. Our daughter had her own room and enjoyed being able to sleep on her own”Big Girl” Bed with the help of bed bumpers. We had a great time in Maui and the property was perfectly located close to Wailea. We were attending a wedding in Wailea and the short 15 minute drive allowed us a hassle-free drive to and from the wedding events occurring in Wailea. The spacious balcony allowed us to enjoy breakfast outside while we appreciated the beautiful songs the birds would sing, while perched in the trees of the properties beautiful gardens. Easy access to all parts of the Island as it is located on the coast in Kihei. One drawback, which I wished I knew prior to arriving was that the unit was not air conditioned. This made the unit unbearably hot from about 10:30AM - 10:30PM. One needs to sleep with glass doors to the balcony open. However this did lead to the beautiful whooshing of the winds and the distant sound of waves crashing on the beach that lulled you peacefully to sleep. I would recommend doing this even if AC was available. The owner was great and very responsive, you can tell she takes her hospitality seriously. Overall a pleasant stay, though when we do return I may opt for an accommodation with AC. If the unit is updated with AC, I would certainly stay there again.
