8.8/10 Excellent! (1,180 reviews)
The property itself was nice, but my room was not properly cleaned. Although it looked clean at first glance, the covers smelled like stinky feet and were musty when I went to bed. The bathroom also had trash on the floor, and on my last day I saw a cockroach in the bathroom.
I visited the spa and received an amazing massage and manicure. The staff were very kind and professional. However, the serenity room where guests wait had sagging furniture that wasn’t fluffed, and the room had a musty smell. It seems clear the facility does not have enough staff to maintain cleanliness throughout the property.
In the fitness center, there was blood on the glass doors going in and out of the facility. I reported it to staff, and they said they were trying to figure out what it was. I was surprised it hadn’t simply been cleaned. Inside the fitness room, there was also no sanitizer available for the machines.
Overall, the service staff were pleasant, but the cleanliness issues throughout the property need serious attention.

9.4/10 Exceptional! (879 reviews)
Stunning hotel with really attentive staff, located in the heart of Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. You are surrounded by a ton of award-winning restaurants, shopping and also close to public transit. Rooms are spacious and are themed in a minimalistic Japanese onsen-style esthetic. We loved our stay here, though there are a few things to mention that made our stay less than a perfect 10. The bathroom is fully painted in black. Looks great, but terrible for styling your hair, if you have dark colored hair. Poor lighting concepts throughout the room and bathroom in general, which made it terrible for getting ready any time of the day. Closet area was dark, not great for getting dressed. Bedroom area was dark, not great for reading a book. Desk area is dark, not great for working remotely. Bathroom lighting is dark, not great if you are a woman trying to put on makeup. Housekeeping was fantastic and really knew how to personalize your stay, but they still knocked on the door when we had the "do not disturb" light on, which was very bothersome and woke us up a couple of times.

The hotel was conveniently located to the convention center and included a Starbucks. Great hotel maintenance and staff.

8.8/10 Excellent! (1,475 reviews)
We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but only stayed 1. We love embassy suites and always choose to stay at one when we can. But this one was in desperate need of some work. No light on the bedroom night stand just 1 in the corner, no outlets either. The pull out bed was falling apart, had fruit loops on it from a past stay and was so flat and sunken in my kids couldn't sleep on it. In the bedroom there were stains on the sheets with and they were ripped. By the time we discovered it, it was already past midnight and we didn't feel like moving rooms or even going through the hassle of calling. We were just wanting to sleep. Breakfast "clean" dishes were still greasy and overall just not great so we decided to just leave early despite having paid in advance for 2 nights. I wouldn't stay here again.

"An aged property in need of an update. The army of raccoons camped out at the garbage should have tipped me off, but I was surprised to see a Quality Inn in such need of an update. The floors in particular were heavily stained and gross."
