Room was the largest we stayed in, in All of Australia with an en-suite. The best thing about this hotel was the locals and the good time we had sat outside the pub on tables. For a Tuesday night it was just brilliant! Thanks Brendan, Stu and New Jersey Christine with the dog.

I didn't realise it was a very noisy pub. the stairs were so narrow and dangerous for my bad knees. I have already written to you requesting reimbursement since I was not able to stay there and had to find alternative arrangement far away in Gerringong. Very inconvenient.

Staff were friendly but the room had a strange annd quite overwhelming aroma and the shared bathroom facilities were clean but very old. Music extremely loud until 11.30pm but ok thereafter. Overall this is not great value for money.

It is a old pub hotel with 2 floors with rooms above. Good if you're looking for something cheaper and nothing fancy. Here's what to expect. Rooms are nice and clean, and beds are comfy. No air con, but has ceiling fan. We stayed on the first floor and on a Saturday night, so we didn't get to sleep until the pub closed at midnight as all you can hear is the music and people talking/singing. (Might not be as bad on the second floor). The shared bathrooms are ok. Like a public toilet, but cleaner. Some you can close completely so you have the toilet and shower for yourself, others you might be on the toilet while someone else is showering (does have separate internal doors).

The staff were fantastic the room (#2) spacious and comfy and the food was delicious. Steph met us at check in and she and the staff were beyond welcoming. Def nicely surprised by our exp - recommend this place and Kiama is gorgeous

With the reviews of this hotel being half great, half bad, I was a little hesitant to book, and shared bathrooms are usually a nonstarter. But we took this trip last-minute, so our options were limited. If you are worried about this hotel after some of the reviews, don't be. It's not fancy in any way, but the staff are lovely, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The shared bathrooms were also very clean - we bumped into the cleaning lady in there several times in one day, so they are obviously well-looked-after. So, if you are the fence, as long as you're not looking for fancy, this is a good option. We spent the money we saved at several local restaurants instead. :-)
